Very nice hotel with an excellent location! Not as crowded as other hotels, which makes the stay much more pleasant. The highlight of our experience was being given our room upon arrival at 7 a.m., without having to pay for early check-in. We truly appreciated this gesture, especially after an 18-hour flight. The only downside: as mentioned in other reviews, the room is quite small and offers limited space for clothes and luggage.

The bed was comfy with high quality bedding and pillows. The room was an ok size. The desk was very small and there is no storage in the room. The bed was comfy with high quality bedding and pillows. The room was an ok size. The desk was very small and there is no storage in the room. The bathroom was excellent, well designed with a great shower. But the room itself was not very clean - I had to ask for the carpets to be cleaned around the edges. The same issue was visible in the communal areas. Completely unacceptable in a four star hotel. Breakfast is fine but quite limited for the price - extra for barista coffee. Service is slow and a little inconsistent at breakfast. Not worth the money, probably wouldn’t return

We stayed at the West Hotel in Sydney twice during a two-week period - first for three nights and then again for one night. The location is excellent and makes it very easy to explore the city. Our room was a good size, clean, and overall very comfortable, which was reassuring after reading some mixed reviews beforehand. The only real disappointment was the breakfast. We visited the restaurant during the latter half of the breakfast service and found the selection to be quite poor. The layout of the serving area is cramped, making it difficult to navigate, and many guests seemed unsure of where things were. Several food stations had empty gaps that weren’t being refilled, and overall the quality didn’t match the price being charged. A pleasant stay in many ways, but the breakfast experience definitely needs improvement.

We stayed here 3 nights on our last part of our Australia trip. The room itself felt a little small and the view was of the road and the building opposite so not great. It was clean and modern and everything seemed in good condition, which is something. At breakfast we were told that, due to us being diamond members of Hiltons loyalty scheme, we could have the continental breakfast but would have to pay more to have the cooked section of the buffet. We were told that we could have the cooked section that morning for free if we wished. We did try the cooked section, which was dry and over cooked, so decided it wasn't worth the extra. The hotel was walking distance from most places we wanted to visit or close enough to the ferries, to make it very convenient. Not sure I would return, however, on our next trip to Sydney.
