“Location central, views outstanding”
Brilliant location, views were outstanding and had all the amenities we needed. This hotel is central to everything, right on the river and next to the Botanical gardens, perfect location. “Always a pleasure”
The Stamford is a lovely place to stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Views are gorgeous and there is usually a good selection of places to eat and drink. Rooms are quiet and well appointed. I've only stayed for business, but it would be a great spot for a weekend away.

“High standards have slipped a little”
Generally very good but breakfast service needs to lift its game by offering tea or coffee once guests are seated, especially when both self-serve machines are broken!

“Good location, very tired rooms”
Excellent location, however the rooms are very tired and desperately in need of a makeover. Sheer curtains were missing from the runners, the in room phones did not work and the towels were of very poor quality
