Overall this hotel provides very good VFM considering the location, free overnight parking for guests and facilities. There is ample parking too. The lifts are a bit slow but manageable. The apartment we had was two bed, two bathroom and it was quite big with both hinterland and sea views. So we were happy. Some elements of the cleaning do need attention. When we arrived there was white Powder on the sofa and someone’s nail clippings on the floor! Some of the plates were dirty as were mugs…. I think there may be a tendency to rely on guests to make sure they wash after themselves. The cushions on the sofa were so bad I actually took the covers off and washed them! We would stay again having said this and if these things had been addressed it would be too marks. We didn’t use the pool while there, it looked nice and was used by lots of families throughout our stay.

Synergy is in a great location for access to the happening strip of Broadbeach, cafes, restaurants and beach. Synergy is in a great location for access to the happening strip of Broadbeach, cafes, restaurants and beach. There is a tram stop right out the front and a brisk walk for 15 mins will have you at Pacific Fair. The hotel itself is showing its age. The room we stayed in was dirty upon arrival and we needed to speak to reception and request an apartment clean, along with an air conditioner service as its filters were black and it smelt of mould. Whilst reception were helpful and had these issues rectified, you should not arrive to this. There was hair all over the bathroom floor, clearly the shower had not been cleaned as there was soap scum everywhere. The furniture was stained and the walls very knocked around. As there are private residences here and the owners have dogs, it’s difficult to escape the dog hair that was frequently left in the lifts and front foyer. You get one towel for each apartment guest, for the duration of your stay and it costs $2.50 for any subsequent towels. Your room is not made up each day - just sharing if you were not aware of this. There are 2 lifts and no service lift, meaning when housekeeping is working, you can wait for up to 15 mins to finally get a lift to your floor! The view from the beach side decks, is certainly beautiful to wake up to each morning!
