“Fab location”

Very affordable 2 bedroom accommodation. Front desk service fabulous. Bedrooms were small but ensuite in main bedroom and a 2 way main bathroom made it a very comfortable stay. Large kitchen and laundry a block back from the waterfront. Great location. Would definitely stay here again

The location of the hotel is great, an easy walk to the seafront, shops and restaurants. Very close to the Aquarium (a must-see.) We were really pleased with our two- bedroom residence which was very comfortable, well-designed and clean with a great balcony for watching the world go by (and the nightly display of flying foxes!) We particularly appreciated the washing machine and dryer after two weeks of travelling. There is a nice coffee shop at ground level. We only ate in the hotel once, in the Mexican restaurant, which was disappointing. The art displays and music give the lobby a nice vibe. Having stayed at other Crystalbrook hotels where the staff were delightful, we found the staff at the front desk here, whilst professional, rather robotic.

Great location. Walking distances to the aquarium, restaurants and bars and the ocean! We stayed dur8ng Easter. Fantastic amenities with secured parking. Comfy beds and free in-house movies and excellent WiFi. Staff were very friendly and accommodating as I couldn't sleep from the noise coming from the communications room outside and they were able to provide me with a quieter room to allow me to sleep. Would definitely stay again in next time im in Cairns.

Check-in was a bit painstaking and slow (it appeared the young lady assisting us was still learning, but reception was too busy for another staff member to actually help her). The room was nice, but like other reviews have suggested, the room was quite congested, with no ceiling fan and the inability to open a window. The air con was also locked at a minimum temp of 21°, which wasn't so refreshing from the Cairns heat and humidity (dropping to 18° would have made a world of difference). The bed was a king made up of twin singles, and with the duo not being zipped together properly, they separated partly through the night. AMENITIES: One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was due to the quality of the fitness centre (as per photos on the website). This was a stark contrast to the actual fitness centre, with less than half of the photographed equipment actually available, poorly maintained equipment, not to mention the poor cleaning standards. Very disappointing to find out that the photographs published online weren't even of this hotel. The pool is incredibly small for such a large patronage, with a Max. depth of 1.3m. The rooms do include WiFi, and although slow, it is suitable for business purposes. There was also an excellent selection of in-house movies. BREAKFAST: Breakfast at CC's was very poor. With a standard cost of $38 per head ($28 if prebooked), I expected a lot more. The restaurant was dirty (a number of uncleared tables throughout for the 30 mins we were present), and the buffet was untidy, unmaintained, and quite unclean. Service was almost non-existent, from checking in for breakfast until the moment we left. Absolutely NOT worth the money. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Try any one of the local cafes and restaurants offering a better breakfast, at a better price, with a much better atmosphere. On the upside, Crystalbrook Bailey's location is PERFECT and within walking distance to dozens of fantastic restaurants, cafes, and local amusements. Crystalbrook Bailey is perfect for a 1-2 night stay, but, despite the good value, not well suited for a longer stay.
