“Close enough to Cavil Ave but far enough away from the hustle”

Spent 10 nights there. We were a little disappointed on arrival at being given a room on the 4th floor on the side street with beach views from the balcony (given that the advertisement had only 4 photo's and was clearly of a unit a lot higher and at the front with amazing beach/ ocean views) A bonus was the fact that we had an ensuite and air con in the main bedroom (which was not listed but should be) A few issues required attention and were quickly sorted by the building maintenance man. A couple of things that need to be improved, *The second bedroom had no air con, the ceiling fan was very noisy and it got very hot in there during the day (we tried cooling with the 2 air cons on but it did not help) *Some of the kitchen equipment is old and needs replacing (had to get a new pair of tonges during the stay as the one there fell apart, reception gave us new ones on the spot. *The frypan and saucepan were crap so we ended up buying a new one for use during our stay * The window winders may need to be greased as it was hard to open and close all of the windows at times *The washing machine left marks on some of our clothes (some were new purchased during our stay) The apartment was clean, fairly well appointed and very roomy (3 adults and 1 almost teenager) The apartment was serviced during our stay Overall the stay was really enjoyed by all, the location is great as it's away from most of the busy Cavill Ave but close enough to walk there as we did many times. We will be back, maybe next year. Hopefully getting a better unit slightly higher and at the front like in the photos!

“Location, location, location!”

We stayed in a 2 roomed beach view apartment on the 11th floor. For a couple this was a huge amount of space. There was a full kitchen and a laundry with a washer, drier and clothes airer. We stayed in a 2 roomed beach view apartment on the 11th floor. For a couple this was a huge amount of space. There was a full kitchen and a laundry with a washer, drier and clothes airer. Check in was easy, all team members we spoke to were helpful and friendly. The apartment had everything we needed although there were a few maintence issues that could be addressed to make the stay perfect. We hired pool/beach towels for a small fee and utilised the indoor spa. The overall facilities of the hotel were good and included a dedicated car park. The outdoor areas were well maintained and tidy. The location was perfect with the beach across the road. Even with the cyclone damage the beach was beautiful. The area was reasonably quite, there were good resturants and cafe close by. Public transport was just around the corner. Overall the hotel was good and we enjoyed our stay.

“Nice apartment - but…”

Great apartments with fantastic views! Our apartment was unfortunately invaded by cockroaches (we can tolerate a couple, but 5-6 at once is too much!). Much moice from traffic , but we did not mind that. Otherwise nothing to complain about!
