“Great Stay at the quieter end of Cavill Avenue”

The resort is at the much quieter end of Cavill Avenue. Easy walking distance to Woolworths and multiple cafes/restaurants. We got a very god deal on a budget room. Level 5. Will come again but next time will book a superior room on a higher floor. Kate, the manager is wonderful. Very helpful.

I had booked a one bedroom unit, however upon arrival I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit. I had booked a one bedroom unit, however upon arrival I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit. It was a very decent size, the main bedroom was a great size however, the ensuite was rather small and dull... I actually just used the main bathroom. The 2nd bedroom was extremely small which made no difference to me. The main bathroom was a nice size both the ensuite and main bathroom were not on the outside so had no windows, the main bathroom didn't have a fan either which I thought strange. Cleanliness wasn't up to my standards and I went to the closest supermarket and purchased some spray cleaner before I used them. The living area was open, bright and had an amazing view as did both bedrooms. The balcony was very long and the unit/balcony over looked a river lovely views and made the unit feel nicer that you didn't have other tall hotels as your viewing. The kitchen had at some stage recently being upgraded and was very nice, luckily I wasn't eating in but dining out with friends. As I needed a teaspoon at one stage and it was filthy, I wasn't game to check anything else. The outside of the dishwasher was covered in dried on food that looked very much like pasta sauce. So I'd hate to know what the inside of it looked like. The blackout curtain in the main bedroom was torn and I had to clip it together to keep it closed at night. The curtain in the 2nd bedroom was literally no good and you sure wouldn't of wanted your kids staying in their as although the window looked out onto a river and no one could see in, you'd still want to be able to close it for privacy. I have no idea as to what the condition of the curtains in the living area were like as I never closed them. There were fans in the living area and main bedroom, honestly can't recall if there was one in the 2nd bedroom as it was so tiny. But there was air conditioning which I didn't need at that time of year. I did love that it was equipped with a washing machine and dryer. I would stay there again, I like that it was at the end of the main entertainment area and only a few minutes walk to the beach... it was very private, equipped with a pool and outside BBQ area, neither of which I used. In saying that I'd stay there again next time I'd make sure I arrived with some bleach and bathroom spray upon arrival and seen how I'd be on holidays I always eat out. I don't drink tea or coffee, just bottled water and Pepsi Max which I stocked in the fridge shortly after I arrived. It was very close to a 'woolies' supermarket. I would love to of given the place 5*'s but unfortunately due to the lack of cleanliness I can't. However the linen was all clean! The unit had free WiFi and Foxtel which I did use. Did end up with a sore lower back due to uncomfortable old couches, so ended up sitting on a dining chair for the short time I was in before bed.
