Here’s a more personal take: Just got back from Daydream Island with a couple of friends and honestly, what a spot. We packed a lot in and loved nearly all of it. The food was excellent — we were genuinely impressed meal after meal. The spa was another standout, and I can’t recommend Vicky enough. Her hot stone massage was fantastic, exactly what I needed. The Living Reef snorkelling ended up being one of the real treats of the trip. Gabriel, the marine biologist there, was so knowledgeable and friendly — you could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it made the whole experience that much better. We also snorkelled at Lovers Bay, did the rainforest walk, and spent a fair few hours at the saltwater pool and bar working our way through cocktails. No complaints there. The wildlife around the resort was such a bonus too. The birds were everywhere, and spotting the wallaroos hopping around never got old.

I recently had a wonderful experience with my two daughters, aged 8 and 9, at Daydream Island Resort across three nights. The resort itself is beautifully planned on the Island with a section of Rainforest and a walk that breaks the two ends of the resort. The design of the resort has plenty of natural light entering the foyers and communal areas which offers a feeling of connection to the nature around. The birds that wander in and out of the communal areas made for interesting and fun experiences for my children. And the living reef that curves and elongates around and through the resort is just stunning and a wonderful reminder of the beautiful nature of this wonderful part of Australia. The service and the staff at the restaurants, the breakfast buffet, front desk, tour services, cafe, bar and shop were all very polite and professional. My young daughters found them to be very friendly and approachable as well, and they also had very enjoyable experiences at the Kids Club. The food at Infinity Restaurant was high quality fusion Asian and we ate there twice for dinner. Our room was well structured, spacious, clean and very comfortable. We sailed in to the Island with friends and the the ferry shuttle that took us back to the Mainland worked efficiently and was a very easy and convenient means of transport. Overall, we would definitely return, and recommend this Resort to other families with children.

Food , breakfast buffet -eggs bacon cereal, cold cuts , yoghurt, melon etc - no bananas ! Several restaurants need to book , found overpriced , food lukewarm. Wallabies Cockatoo's & Curlew birds all over the place. Never used the pool , weather was poor, Sun lotion Bikini never out of case. Thankfully my book was excellent ! We found the place had no atmosphere, Yes they had table tennis, Bingo & trivia late afternoon. Nothing at night. also walk ways not lit at night , had to use our phones. Large site , with some areas boarded up, not in use. Overall maintenance in some areas run down. Would not return. Sad really - so much potential.
