After reading some of the the reviews I was somewhat concerned. I had read a review mentioning a particular unit and how dreadful it was but I can’t find it again. Very strange! Anyway we arrived only to find we were in that very same unit!😬. We unlocked the door with trepidation only to be pleasantly surprised. The unit is spacious and had a lovely view overlooking the bay. It had everything we needed and it was wonderful to be able to do all our washing ( 4 weeks worth) before flying home to the UK. Just a short walk to the tram. We were here when they were setting up for the Gold Coast 500 but even that didn’t seem to make things busier. it’s a little dated and some of the furnishings are really worn out but that didn’t impact on our stay and also I wouldn’t furnish out a rented property in the very best decor because it will get damaged. All in all very good value for money and we loved the apartment living. We’ve always been hotel people but this experience has made us think again.

“Beware extreme renovation noise”

We stayed in a lovely and comfortable 2 bedroom apartment in a very well-located part of Main Beach, Gold Coast. We stayed in a lovely and comfortable 2 bedroom apartment in a very well-located part of Main Beach, Gold Coast. Ideal if you don’t want to be right on the beach but prefer a short walk to Tedder Ave shops and restaurants. Would have been a lovely stay except for the inhouse noise of another apartment being renovated. Extreme noise – drilling and hammering – and which they did not tell us about until after we had booked and paid. Extreme noise – to the point where it simply wasn’t possible to either rest or indeed work (online) in the apartment while the construction was going on – just a few floors above us. We had no choice but to leave the apartment and go somewhere else while it was happening. Completely unacceptable that we were somehow not warned about the likely noise prior to us booking. Simply, had we known we would not have stayed there, as convenient as the location might have been. Check. And if they are still renovating – suggest you find somewhere else to stay.

“A mixed experience....”

We had some pluses and minuses on our stay. The building is well located but can be quite noisy at night as it is near the shops. Be aware there is a lot of construction nearby and this can be very noisy! The unit itself is well appointed, the bed comfortable but overall the cleaning is not great … more

We had some pluses and minuses on our stay. The building is well located but can be quite noisy at night as it is near the shops. Be aware there is a lot of construction nearby and this can be very noisy! The unit itself is well appointed, the bed comfortable but overall the cleaning is not great and some utensils were ready for the bin. A lot could be done to improve this property.

“Filthy air conditioner units.”

Taking into account that we had those massive storms on the Gold Coast and that it appeared to be in the middle of an improvement with new beds. I was extremely disappointed that the air conditioning units, to put it bluntly, were filthy! The two units, even though they were good brands ( Panasonic) when checking the filters, looked as though they had not been cleaned for over 6 months. The filters were CLOGGED with dust and dirt, which made them highly unhealthy for the occupants staying there. The filters had the potential to harbour various air pollutants such as dust particles, pollen, odour, and even bacteria. If you have people allergic to any of these particles, then it’s certain that they have the potential to be affected. For instance, people with asthma or certain allergies might start experiencing difficulties staying in the apartment. Also, some of the bacteria that might make their way into your apartment might cause diseases. When the air filter is dirty, it means that it can’t sieve out the dust, pollen, and other particles from the air. Consequently, the quality of your indoor air is reduced. This means that the air being blown through the vents contains various dust particles and microorganisms that might be harmful to people in the apartment. I know this as I have sold a/c units for over 40 years. I have now retired.
