“Was a good place to stay just needs a few upgrades for comfort.”

Stayed in room 29 just recently. The location was perfect, the rooms were very clean. The only thing lacking was no fans or Aircon in the unit. With the mountain blocking the breeze was pretty hot inside unit.

I booked a “standard two-bedroom apartment with ocean view” on booking.com - the photos showed generous balconies facing NNE with direct views to the beach & ocean. Upon arrival we were shown to a rear unit 32 with a small balcony facing WNW with a small distant ocean view over adjoining properties. The photos provided on the listing did not accurately portray the accommodation that I was provided on my arrival. Upon enquiry, after some discussion, we were provided front unit 5 which is exactly as per the photos. The managers appeared to indicate this was a usually a higher priced unit! The complex is in a fabulous situation for walkers - some inclines and 2 flights of steps involved for unit 5 - there is a lift to higher units. The balcony of unit 5 is narrow but adequate. Curiously I could not detect any air-conditioning nor heating unit in #5, I could see AC units on balcony if some other units. Overall, I would happily stay again, but I would be very careful to ensure I was booking a unit that matched the my expectations.

Brilliant views and great location. Very tight parking spaces. Brilliant views and great location. Very tight parking spaces. We couldn't fit our 6 seater hire car and while there are a few public spaces outside the apartments, if you leave , the space would be gone which meant driving around to find a carpark, then moving the car once a space became available. Building is dated, and parts, like the lift and concrete covered area outside each apartment, are quite grubby and run down. The lift was very slow, rattled, and did not smell good, but it did provide some entertaining discussion on the possible source of the smell. What really put us off were the number of decent sized cockroaches at the back door in the covered concrete area that also found their way inside. Serious bug treatment needed before we'd go back! Pity, when the views are so stunning. Apartment itself was pretty good, for a budget price. No extras, so you need to set up with basics, even salt and pepper. Great having a laundry, but the drier was very loud and rattly and probably needs checking. Building in general needs some TlC.

Spectacular view, absolutely stunning, whale watching was amazing. Fantastic location close to beach and great restaurants. But unit 29 the one I stayed in was dated, dirty and needs a complete deep clean and upgrade. The pillows and blankets disgusting, the lounge peeling, it was not welcoming and unpleasant. The owner needs to spend some money because right now they think they can provide a bad unit because of view. I felt dirty in a room I paid $266 a night . Management lovely but they can only try encourage owner to give it a makeover. Very disappointed as I treated myself to a stay cation.
