I booked a one bedroom ocean front room for Aug/Sept 2025 a few months in advance. Prior to arriving I emailed a request for a high floor (there’s 12 floors) and received Floor 5 upon arrival which was ‘high enough’ and in fact was the best height to sit on couch and look out at the stunning view and still see the ocean and Moreton Island (where the sun rises) and no road view below unless standing on balcony. Also high enough to avoid any road or restaurant noise. Given I work on US time in the very early am, noise is of concern to me as I sleep odd hours. The apartment was super clean yet basic. The size of the apartment is perfect for one or a couple. WiFi and cable tv worked great. Kitchen size is great with all cookware and accessories you could need. Washer and dryer appeared to be brand new. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Aircon worked well. Eliza was an amazing employee at check in who took care of things INSTANTLY! I was staying a month so I like to get things in order from arrival so I’m not bothering with anything for the rest of the stay. Housekeeping was great and on time-I didn’t need much but towels and vaccuum. I don’t like having housekeeping in my room when I’m gone so like to request them while I’m back which they obliged each time, once a week, and were on time and super fast. Room and whole floor was very quiet. Parking is easy safe and secure. No EV charging which may change any day, so ask, if needed. Pool area was clean and lovely and quiet. Did not visit the gym but it looked well taken care of as I walked by. Restaurant downstairs is decent and has an array of food and wine options. There’s trivia nights and steak and parmi specials going on during the week. The customers who frequent are more of a professional and older crowd which is nice, as I didn’t experience any of the ‘younger and over indulged’ behavior you can come across elsewhere. I grew up in this area so I knew it was located in a great spot for walking along beach front directly across street. Literally a couple minutes walk to local grocery store and shops cafes and restaurants along the Main Street with ocean views. Great markets on weekends with anything you could think of for sale-I have a number of items I buy there each time to take back to the US. I made my booking for the following year and there was a scenario a few months later in which my booking was cancelled and I called and Rebecca explained the situation and was more than accommodating with working out mutual dates to change to. I later had a reason to alter and update this booking and I’d just like to say, as a business owner, customer service and taking care of clients is EVERYTHING, as without them you wouldn’t have a business, so I very much notice when people go above and beyond (and also when they don’t!) and Rebecca has always been such a pleasant professional who understands this concept and I’m very grateful for that! Unless and until I decide to buy a holiday home in the area, Mon Komo is where I will stay each time I return to visit family and friends. I do hope Eliza and Rebecca are still there whenever I arrive!
