Fantastic room and resort is well located in Hervey Bay. Has everything you need in the kitchen if you want to cook or eating out the Bayswater Hotel and a restaurant called Salt nearby. Both with excellent food options. Car parking underneath building was easy to use. Room was beautifully decorated and furnishings superb. Wouldn't hesitate to come back. Highly recommend this Oaks Resort.

“Love the place”

We have stayed at this resort a few times & have found it excellent on each visit. Great for walking & lovely eateries.

“Lovely setting but ask for a refurbished room”

Check in: excellent. We arrived early and they were able to provide us a room almost right away. The room: a strange configuration. Check in: excellent. We arrived early and they were able to provide us a room almost right away. The room: a strange configuration. They provided us a 2 bedroom room explaining to only use the bedroom and the bathroom we paid for. It was a long hallway walking by a small laundry, 2 closed doors and at the end was our bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room. We did not have one of the refurbished room and the room looked tired. It was soundproof ( except for the many birds chirping in the morning and at night, which we found charming). The space was spacious. However the bed was very soft ( not a lot of back support) and the 2 sofas had no support at all. I imagine they will be replaced when they renovate the room. We made do and sat on the kitchen chairs that we moved to the living room as our backs could not tolerate the sofas. The kitchenette had all the necessary elements but lacked dish soap. We just put some from the bathroom hand soap in a cup to use to wash our dishes. The view from our balcony was amazing. We were overlooking the pools and the ocean. The balcony was large and had a table, 4 chairs and a lounge chair. Everything was very clean inside and outside. The bathroom had a large bath and a shower head above it. It sprayed everywhere when I had my shower as there was no curtain. I made sure to dry the floor after I was done with my used towel so that we would not slip. The blow dryer was an ancient type that you had to hold the on button if you wanted it to work. Not really functional if you wanted to use your brush at the same time. We were here for 3 nights and so did not have our room serviced which suited us just fine. There were signs on where to take our rubbish when the garbage can became full. The pools were well cared for. It was vey hot during our stay and my wife swam daily. Many restaurants within a short walk. The ocean and the esplanade walkway and pier were just across the street. The location was fantastic.

Catching up with extended family was easy. Pools are huge and with plenty of shady loungers it was easy to entertain children. Plenty of space within one bedroom unit and it was spotless. Recommend highly for families. Mighty Urangan Pier is just across the road, easy stroll to esplanade with supermarket, chemist and bottle shop all within walking distance.
