These apartments are situated a short walk from King William Street, which is as near to being the main thoroughfare in this car friendly city as you’ll get, and the bustling Federal Market. They are also only a few minutes’ walk from the main bus station. The foyer is neat and tidy and the reception staff are welcoming and friendly. Everything is clean and well maintained and the housekeeping team is efficient and service the rooms every day. The apartments are rather sparse on arrival but have all the necessary facilities including washing machine and dryer in the bathroom, and microwave and hob in the kitchenette. Our apartment phone didn’t work, and the maintenance man had to be called to try and fix the dripping taps in the bathroom sink. But the shower was good and body wash and shampoo are replaced daily by the housekeeping team. WiFi was a little erratic. The rather small main bedroom had plenty of wardrobe space (with more space in the second bedroom) and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Being at the rear of the apartment, and away from the street, it was quiet during the night. We were allowed an extension on the room for a small fee and reception will call for a cab when you require it. A good base for visiting Adelaide (and catching up on getting the laundry done).

Bedroom had no lamps or alarm clock. Shower originally leaked, but was promptly fixed to our satisfaction. Loungeroom windows let in a lot of glare. More neighbour noise from inside building than street, we were close to elevator

“Needs updating”

The apartments are conveniently located near the CBD and the Central Market. Check-in was easy but there is just one lift servicing 5 floors of inhabitants and it is incredibly slow. The apartments are conveniently located near the CBD and the Central Market. Check-in was easy but there is just one lift servicing 5 floors of inhabitants and it is incredibly slow. Many humorous comments were made by people waiting in the lift queues. The room was spacious and well equipped with laundry and non-smart TV. Room cleaning was cursory and sporadic. Requests to vacuum the carpet were not happily received. The best way to replenish coffee or obtain a clean tea towel was to steal from the maids’ trolleys. The WiFi was intermittent, eventually dying altogether. Complaints to the front desk over 3 days were referred to management to no avail. When we later discovered that the dishwasher didn’t work, we mentioned it to the maid who immediately rang maintenance and the dishwasher was immediately fixed, and a modem was connected via several exposed wires. Not elegant, but it worked. Maids are obviously more productive than management. Our stay certainly added adventure to the Adelaide Fringe.

Extremely disappointed with the service here. During check-in on 1/11, the long-haired, dark-complexioned female receptionist was incredibly rude. She showed zero patience while answering our questions and even clicked her tongue (tsked) at us. We were polite the entire time, yet we were treated with such disrespect. This is unacceptable for front-line service staff.
