Our experience at Jackalope Hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The level of customer service was some of the best we’ve experienced anywhere. Every staff member we encountered was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive, making the whole stay feel effortless and well looked after. What really stood out was the attention to detail. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organised and delivered with impressive speed of service without ever feeling rushed. The team clearly know their craft and were able to answer any questions with confidence while making thoughtful recommendations that enhanced the experience. The facilities themselves are outstanding beautifully designed, immaculately maintained, and of an incredibly high standard. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into ensuring guests have a premium experience at every touchpoint. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury facilities with truly exceptional service, Jackalope absolutely delivers. We’ll definitely be back.

“A rare treat”

Excellent hotel accommodation, facilities and staff. Great pool area. Breakfast superb. Doot Doot Doot set menu dinner outstanding. Rare Hare lunch great. One small suggestion is to put a bottle of your own wine in the complimentary minibar. Also, reconsider the music choice in the bar

Jackalope is a modern hotel set in a large vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula. We stayed there because of its recent Michelin rating. We were a little disappointed. The building is a modern addition to an old house which has been very well executed. Inside however, it is rather dark and little depressing. The staff were well-trained and helpful. Rooms are well appointed and the restaurant lived up to its well-deserved reputation. The food was very good and there was a good wine list. The only criticism we would have was breakfast – there was only one included dish. For example, if you wanted granola, followed by a cooked breakfast, that was extra (and it was by no means cheap). Overall, although we enjoyed our stay, we sensed a lack of generosity. Good hotels in this price bracket typically offer some unexpected complimentary extras that create a very positive impression. But everything at Jackalope went onto the bill.

No. Housekeeping responded in under 2 minutes and now I know how thoroughly they clean those areas! A make up mirror is provided but it’s light settings are still dull so even with that, the lighting is not sufficient to do your make up . When I returned to my room at night, damned if I could find the bathroom light switch. Thank goodness for sensor lights. The switch at the door was worn and a large scratch across the door couldn’t be missed. The terrace room overlooks the car park first and foremost. Breakfast is served late here, so sleep in (or hit your mini bar). Now for the good stuff. Staff upon arrival were great. As mentioned about house keeping was fast to respond. The complimentary mini bar offered something sooo much better than you usually expect and was highly appreciated. The turn down service with linen spray and eye masks was a different and lovely touch. The robes were perfect, the bed extremely comfortable. The food was to die for in all the best ways. I was there for a wedding and the catering staff were A1 across all levels. I love a good arrival driveway. Tick. I love something a bit different at reception. Tick. The pool overlooking the vineyards was stylish, simple and lovely.
