Getting the key from across the road during the day is no problem, though at night or before 7am I m not sure what happens, and same regarding dropping off of keys. Location is excellent, close to Southbank bars, restaurants and shops, the CBD is not too far away and I walked easily to the tennis and the MCG ( 25mins approx). We asked for a high floor but would not pay 15 dollars a night extra for it . However they still gave us a room on floor 33, so thank you. We were at the back so only saw the city, I do not know if there are rooms with a view of the river and the north bank. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, no issues with worn carpets or noise, as other reports mention. And very spacious. I would say the TV in the bedroom did nt work , and the blinds in the lounge would not close. The TV also does not have premium sports channels. Not major issues. Also , we ran out of tea and coffee after 4 or 5 days. There is no housekeeping and I think we could have rang to request some but it was easier just to eat/drink out, so again not really an issue. The pool is a little small but I don't use them anyway. A safe in the place would have been nice too. All in all , reasonable value for money and I might consider using the place again if I can get the same deal.

The apartments themselves are very good, well equipped , functional . Conveniently, there is a small supermarket directly underneath . The location would be good if you were heading to the casino . It is pretty inconvenient for anywhere else though, especially if you are elderly or disabled . For the fit and healthy, it’s handy for Southbank, but public transport is a bit tricky in this area for those who aren’t . A slight drawback is that check in / out is over the busy City Rd, so you have to drag your luggage around for a bit .

“ Convenient, spacious for the Australian Open”

We stayed at the City tempo for 4 nights during the Australian Open. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, and had all we needed to make our 4 night stay comfortable. Having a laundry helped when packing light. It was within 1.5 km walking distance to the Australian Open via the restaurants and bars on Southbank....so we could pick our dining out experience as we walked passed the different venues. Well priced for the convenience and comfort.

We have stayed on Southbank before and chose Southbank One for its location. We paid a premium for a higher level floor, which was an interesting concept. The room was functional and gave us all we needed. The choice of a light carpet was a mistake as stains are obvious. Wifi was slow and the instructions not clear enough to make it an easy process to log on. Would stay here again, but would also look at other options.

Lovely apartment to stay in. Few marks on the carpet but otherwise very clean and the views were some of the best I have been from the 34th floor. I would stay here again without hesitation. My only issue was that I asked for a high floor if one was available. This is the only place I have heard of to charge a 'high floor surcharge' of $15 per night. After seeing the views I would pay to have the same room again, however I booked through hotels.com and I can not see this fee stated in any of the print so it was a bit of a surprise to hear I had to pay another $30 for my two nights. Other than this, I was pleased with my stay and will stay again no doubt.
