“Amazing views and lodging in the mountains ”

This place is great . The long steep climb on our bicycles to the hotel was quite daunting but the payoff is well worth it . The welcoming staff was very pleasant and helpful . Price Point is very reasonable and the room was absolutely beautiful with great views from the room and the balconies. Room 439 was so clean , so bright and so overly comfortable that it was one of the few times that we wished that we could stay for another day . The on-site restaurant served very good and reasonably priced food choices . The breakfast was quite good and with multiple food choices . When we jumped back on our bikes to coast down the 1.75km. hill we really were sad to leave this place of beauty and nature .

“Magnificent Location ”

Stayed at this hotel for the second night on a road trip from UK to Croatia. Room basic but comfortable. Ample parking and stunning views from a location high up in the mountain's! Restaurant reasonably priced and food good.

We stayed here for three nights in a front room with lovely views. That said, we asked to move from a rear-facing room which seemed to cause some consternation even though the hotel was only partly full. We stayed here for three nights in a front room with lovely views. That said, we asked to move from a rear-facing room which seemed to cause some consternation even though the hotel was only partly full. The room was appointed in typical Austrian style, was comfortable and clean. We booked a B&B stay but ate in the restaurant each evening too. The food was very tasty and the ladies serving helpful and attentive. Two things to watch out for: the English version of the menu was so badly translated that we were in fits of giggles; secondly the daily set meal on the English menu didn't change - whereas on the German one it does - which were were not told and only discovered ourselves - so ask. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

“Spoilt by customer service ”

Friendly check in, had a room with a shared balcony and nice mountain view. Clean and comfy, nice shower room. We were on a half board deal. We reserved a table at check in using our room number. We went to the restaurant in the evening and have them our room number, and we were seated on the terrace. Great sunset views over the mountains. We ordered our food from the menu, however we thought that it was a bit strange that the half board system hadn’t been explained. Food was well presented and tasted good. On asking for the bill a member of staff (not the waitress) told us we had ordered the incorrect food and expected us to have told them that we were on the half board deal. Even though the hotel and restaurant are the same, we were told that the hotel part would not have informed the restaurant of the half board deal. Frankly, that is ridiculous. It was very clear that the mistake was considered ours and not theirs. They decided that they would charge us for bed and breakfast only and that we would pay for the evening meal separately. This of course cost us more money. I hope that this was a genuine mistake and not a way to get more money from their half board guests.
