I came here just for the weekend , and i must say the highlight of my stay was the barkeep Matea who made my stay quite enjoyable, just the right amount of conversation and banter, what a night! Made me want to stay for a couple more days!! Also a big plus was just as i sat down she brought my french bulldog water and cuddles! Such nice considerable staff this hotel has. Only negative side was the rooms weren't to my liking as much , slightly cramped but i didn't mind it as much since i enjoyed the rest. Will definitely come back, my frenchie already misses her 😇

Another amazing stay at Falkensteiner Carinthia. The apartment was perfect, spacious, spotless, and just the right mix of cozy and elegant. The food keeps getting better every year – fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you’d want after a day on the slopes. The reservation team was also great, super helpful and efficient. The spa experience is hard to beat, truly one of the best we’ve had anywhere. The new renovations look fantastic, especially in the sauna area, and the sauna program the team put together is just perfect. Every detail feels well thought out, making it the ideal place to relax after skiing. Speaking of skiing, we got lucky with the weather, and the slopes were in top shape. Staff was incredible, always friendly and making sure everything runs smoothly. We highly recommend this place, whether for the spa, the mountain experience (winter or summer), or the food. It never disappoints, and honestly, it just keeps getting better. Easy 5 stars.

“Excellent for skiing trip and not only that!”

The hotel service, rooms, spa were perfect and the food is just delicious. The spa is separated and you can swim in an outside pool or get some rest in 16+ sauna. The rooms for ski stuff is well equipped and you have ski service built within the hotel.

We returned, as we do every winter, to Falkensteiner Carinzia for a few days of skiing and spa. This time we stayed for five days. The hotel looked just as beautiful as always, the food was just as good, the spa looked great, and we were lucky with the weather. On the positive side, we were very happy to see our waiter from last year, Milos, who took great care of us throughout the entire stay — many thanks to him. The room was, as always, very nice. And this is where we get to the less good parts. As repeat guests for many years, we have always been offered a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite as a gesture of goodwill. This year, however, the reception experience was not very friendly or accommodating. We were told there were no junior suites available, despite the fact that there were at least five showing as available both on the Falkensteiner website and on other platforms like Booking. The room we had was perfectly fine — this is not about the room itself, but about the lack of goodwill. That small gesture used to make us feel special, and its absence is what turns this review from a usual 5 into a 4. Another aspect that slightly affected our stay was the sauna program. Previously, there was a structured program (first with Remo, then Alessandro), but now there is essentially no sauna program at all. You are given some essences and left to manage on your own. If you’re lucky, every now and then — almost like a special event — someone might come to do a proper Aufguss. For a hotel at the level and pricing of Falkensteiner Carinzia, this is simply not enough and it does impact the overall impression. Another issue was the hotel parking. The underground parking is paid, which is understandable to a point, but charging 1 euro per hour is, frankly, quite excessive for hotel guests — especially considering that you are, of course, also paying separately for charging an electric vehicle. There is no external charging alternative, which makes this even more frustrating. That being said, we do hope to return again next winter, as we always have, hoping to see meaningful improvements — because this stay, while still good overall, was somewhat disappointing compared to previous years.
