A great hotel for families and adults alike. Summer is a beautiful time here, so much to do, beautiful nature.. and the hotel is very cozy, with warm atmosphere, it feels like home.. rooms are beautiful, and the food is delicious!! Also they are very focused on sustainability and holistic , healthy living which is a great plus. Can't recommend it enough!

“Not bad, room for improvement”

Every year we book similar 5-star hotels for our winter sports trips, so we may be a bit spoiled. Every year we book similar 5-star hotels for our winter sports trips, so we may be a bit spoiled. The hotel itself and the location are perfect, but compared to other hotels with the same number of stars there is still some room for improvement. The table we were assigned was next to the stairs, which made it feel a bit like we were placed in a dark corner without a view. Use this table for kids that wanna play or for drunk people that just finish their Apres Ski, not for customers that come for dinner. Breakfast is good, dinner is average, and the menus are only available in German. That said, the staff is great.

The general hotel is lovely, wonderful spa and relaxing area, couldn't be faulted. Good size room. Super breakfast with lots of healthy choices and afternoon tea very good. BUT thought very poor to be charged 6 euros for a bottle of water with the evening meal, coffee machines covered and no coffee offered with the afternoon tea or evening meal. Very poor for a 4 star supreme hotel. Also the evening meal was just so repetitive with fish, pizza or pasta, 5 out of the 7 nights. No other choice at all and the fish portion was so small it was like a starter. Itty bitty food. This evening meal very much let the hotel down and not the usual high standard food we have experienced in Austria. This really does drop it one star and when questioned with the staff told this was the way they did things.

There’s a lot to love about the Alpin Juwel. The quality and variety of food at dinner is superb and they clearly have a talented chef! The dinner service is also exceptional; we were served with genuine friendliness and care. The reception team are also professional and helpful (and their dog is adorable and brings a smile to everyone’s face). The location is really good - most lifts are within a 10-15 minute walk and the nearest bus station about 5 minutes. The free Joker card and travel card (not the same) are provided on arrival and give free transport around the region - including the lifts. I also thought the wellness area was high quality - a lovely heated indoor pool, several saunas and solariums, and a decent gym (with bikes, cross trainers, running machines, and a good selection of weights and muscle building equipment). However, there is room for improvement. The rooms are average - clean and bright but otherwise modest (and the pillows really offer no support and need replaced - even using three didn’t help much). The reception closes at 8pm; we arrived later than this and there was no one to check us in and we didn’t know what to do - fortunately a guest told us to go to the dining area, but even then it was pretty disorganised and hard to find someone to help, and then we were just passed a room key (I’d work on improving this, as first impressions last). Wi-fi is switched off 11pm - 7am which isn’t great and uncommon nowadays. Other than breakfast, you have to pay for all drinks - including water (it seems a bit mean not to offer tea and coffee in the afternoon with the cakes / snacks) and seeing the water taps covered up at dinner is a bit annoying. We were also treated rudely by one of the older chefs at the afternoon session - which was a bit embarrassing and unusual for the hotel, where everyone else was so friendly. Overall, I would stay here again and had a great holiday, and with a few improvements this hotel could be a real winner!
