My one abiding memory of this hotel is the warmth and charm of the staff. Yes the Spa is divine, of course the food is spectacular, without doubt the location is perfect. But it is always the natural personality of the staff that shines through. I’m sure that this is no chance occurrence (this is Austria after all - and attention to detail is key) and has to be an extension of the ethos and genuine sense of hospitality of the owners / managers. This stalwart (apologies for the obscure English word) is clearly in good hands

“Ticks all the boxes!”

Incredible hotel right in the centre of town. Immaculately clean, food and service excellent, a peaceful setting with amble amenities. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will most certinaly stay there again if back in Soll.

I stayed at the Der Postwirt for a week of skiing with my son, Mathew, and it was another fantastic experience. I’ve previously stayed here several times with my wife, Catherine, and it never disappoints. The hotel offers excellent facilities, and both the breakfast and evening meals are superb. The dining staff are incredibly friendly and attentive—special thanks to Peter and Csilla, who were especially helpful throughout our stay. After a full day on the slopes, the swimming pools and saunas were an absolute treat and the perfect way to unwind. We will definitely be returning, and may even consider a summer holiday here as the surrounding area is truly beautiful.

“Exquisite spa with amazing views and wonderful steam room and sauna experiences”

I needed a day off the slopes so bought a day pass for a morning in the spa Initially I was disappointed as the main outdoors pools don't open until 12:00 (main) and 14:00 (roof top). Easily fixed, I went in the afternoon instead. On check is I was given a large bag and very nice bath robe. The downstairs area (Family Spa ) This is a huge spacious area with vast windows giving fabulous mountain views. There's a large family spa and small children's play area. The main pool is really nice but the best part is the opening doors to the external heated pool - you just swim through. The views outside are amazing. This is a family area and swimwear is naturally mandatory Roof top The infinity pool on the roof is wonderful with "jacuzzi" facility. The views are incredible and the pool is deliciously warm. Again swimwear is mandatory. On the same level is a well equipped gym, again with amazing views Adult Spa This part of the spa has a pleasant relaxation area with huge comfy loungers. Adjacent to this is the entrance to the superb adult spa (16 years and older only) It is "Austrian style" so swimwear is not allowed but there is more than enough towels to sit on and/or preserve your dignity (if you need it). Some Brits don't like this but I can assure you that most people walk around in towels and people do not stare at each other. The main saunas have huge windows are fabulous (60 degree and 90 degree) There's a lovely steam room and infra-red spa too. I really loved the infra-red beds that have an automatic programme to warm your spine. Activities Salt Scrub Late in the afternoon, you can self apply scented salts in the steam room. After leaving them on for 10 mins, you rinse them off and your skin feels wonderful Social Spa (this is amazing and it happens every day in the week) They let the 90' spa cool then loads of people gather in there (I counted 20 including me). You sit there naked (with no embarrassment or discomfort) and the "host" heats the room to well over 90'. Music and twinkling lights add to the atmosphere. She then wafted the air at everyone in turn to make sure you get the full effect. There are three rounds of aromatic scents (from ice balls) followed by wafting again. Each combo of scents has a specific purpose for your wellbeing (it is explained) After more wafting, we leave the sauna after 12-15 minutes If you wan't, you can then be gentle thrashed with cold branches all over your back and legs. Not for everyone but it' fantastic for your circulation. OK, to us Brits, it sounds a bit weird. It is weird in so much that it's different but after showering and relaxing wrapped in your thick robe you feel absolutely refreshed and exhilarating. I highly recommend you try this traditional sauna experience. I'll be buying another pass next year.
