On a ski and sightseeing trip with brothers and husband around Austria. The front desk has a business-hotel feeling, but after exploration the hotel is a homey, spa hotel. Staff are extremely helpful. The location in the Altstadt makes sightseeing very convenient and festive. The restaurant in the hotel, also named "Das Innsbruck" is very good and should definitely be on a visitor's agenda.

“Great hotel close to everything, comfy rooms, comfy beds!”

The pool is Gorgeous! Check in is easy free breakfast is fantastic! Stayed for 3 days would definitely do again! Beautiful hotel!

Overall, the Hotel Das Innsbruck is a lovely, well-appointed hotel in the perfect location. The buffet breakfast is fantastic and the lounge area is perfect for an evening cocktail. The staff were all warm, polite and professional. Only 4 stars because the room we booked and paid for, the Double Room Deluxe Chalet-Tyrol, does not seem to be the room we received. Our room was very small and cramped (even for 2 people), and did not have a separate living area with sofa, as indicated in the photos for this room class.

I spent quite a long time thinking about whether I should write this review, as overall my stay was very pleasant. I usually tend to leave positive comments rather than complaints, which makes this feedback more difficult to write. I stayed at the hotel for four nights, and almost everything was excellent from the very first day. The room was clean, the hotel was well maintained, the food was good, and most of the staff were polite, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Even on my arrival day, when I accidentally took the wrong elevator, a staff member kindly approached me, explained the situation, and personally guided me to the correct place. Small moments like this made me feel welcome and well taken care of throughout my stay. Unfortunately, on January 24, 2026, the final day of my stay, I had an uncomfortable interaction during breakfast with a female staff member working in the breakfast area. While I was eating and still had food in my mouth, she approached my table and spoke to me without saying “excuse me” or allowing me a moment to respond. I replied in German, but the response I received was unclear, and neither my husband nor I fully understood what was being asked. We assumed that she may have wanted to clear the table or address something related to the dishes. Due to the lack of clear communication, as well as the impatient tone and body language, the situation felt uncomfortable. Later that same day, while I was sitting alone in the lobby for quite some time, I noticed that the same staff member passed by without any greeting, yet warmly greeted another guest shortly afterward. I would like to clarify that it was not the lack of greeting or permission itself that bothered me; it was simply the feeling of not being made to feel particularly welcome in that moment. I would like to emphasize that this feedback is not meant as a personal criticism or an attack on anyone. I fully understand that hospitality work can be demanding, and that everyone can have a difficult day. However, I also believe that no guest should feel uncomfortable or disregarded because of the way they are approached. In a four-star hotel, professional, respectful, and consistent interaction with all guests is essential. Unfortunately, this experience affected the final day of an otherwise very enjoyable stay. I am sharing this feedback thoughtfully and with care, in the hope that it may help maintain the high service standards that this hotel otherwise offers.
