We were well looked after at this small, family-run hotel, which is ideally situated a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Helga and Franz welcomed us with a glass of wine, and were always on hand and able to answer any questions that we had about the local area. There was no half-board option, but the extensive breakfast buffet was a great way to set ourselves up for the day. There was, however, a delicious schnitzel dinner on the Tuesday, which we really enjoyed. Our room was clean and spacious, and the balcony was a lovely, sunny spot to relax on when we got back from whatever long hike we'd been doing each day. Seefeld itself was a great base for the week, and we spent many hours hiking in the local area. We took advantage of the bus and train travel that was included as part of the tourist pass too, in order to explore a bit further. It's many years since we had a holiday in the Austrian Tyrol, and I wish we hadn't left it so long. We certainly hope not to leave it so long next time!

We have stayed at Franz and Helga's Hotel before Covid and this was our first trip since the pandemic. We were not disappointed! A genuinely warm welcome, a comfortable room and attentive hosts throughout our stay. Although the Hotel Helga does not now provide half-board, Helga did prepare and cook one of the most fulfilling dinners on the Tuesday evening of the week we stayed. She is an excellent cook and worthy of the title Chef! Seefeld is a gorgeous village in the Austrian Tyrol and for the walker or sightseer a paradise. Oh! and be sure to use the Austrian railways when you stay. A joy!!!

Absolutely fabulous family run hotel, where nothing is too much trouble for the lovely warm and welcoming owners Franz & Helga. “Nice place but a few upgrades would make this AMAZING!”

This B&B could be rated one of the best of the 12 places we stayed during our 26 day visit throughout Austria, Germany, and Switzerland but it fell short unfortunately. We spent our days hiking up to 11 miles each day and although it is typical for hotels not to have air conditioning, there was no fan available which made our stay incredibly uncomfortable in the upper 80 degree heat after a long days hike. We had to keep the doors and darkening blinds closed rather than enjoy the beautiful view out our balcony door. Why not raise your rates 5 Euro and buy desk fans? Fans were offered in every other place we stayed. There were small refrigerators in all the rooms but they were deliberately turned off? To prevent fish smell we were told?? I am an early riser 4:30 am and need my coffee. No kettle was available. Again, I could request one in the other places we stayed. I hope these suggestions are taken to heart because a few minor changes and this place would be amazing. A small table and chairs in the room made a nice sitting area, adequate closets and counter space, great breakfast, and close to everything. Nice quiet street and a Balcony was provided.. sadly Europe is behind the times with smoking and unfortunately you could be sharing the balcony with the smoker. If a fan, kettle, refrigerator and a possible smoker sharing the balcony are not important to you than YES, YES this is the place you must stay!
