Having stayed in St Johann on many occasions this was our first time staying in self catering accommodation - usually hotels are half board and we prefer to be able to eat out. I found these apartments online by trawling - because I know the town I did a few hit and miss searches - but these are linked to the Sporthotel Noichl - there are 2 apartment buildings, both alpine chalets, located very close to the ski lift [near the ActivHotel Crystal and the Hotel Park if you know the town].We booked the Gran Paradiso apartment - 2 bedrooms to sleep 4 people and were not disappointed. Check in and communication online was great - excellent English is spoken and Effi and Gisi were both delightful. The appartmant was exactly as portrayed online, fantastic quality of furnishings and soft furnishings. The kitchen equipment was spotless and looked brand new in most cases - everything there - oven, hob, kettle, teapot, coffee machine, pastry forks, dishwasher etc Also, many useful extras are included - tea towels, dishwash tabs, pan scrub, cleaning sprays etc. We also had a mini bottle of dry 'champagne' in the fridge waiting for us. Outside balcony was spacious and private, there was a second smaller one off the main bedroom too, but with no furniture on it. We used the washing machines in the building with no problems - 3 euro coins per wash. There are also dryers, but given that it was 35 degrees plus most days we did not need these! The gym was great too, and very cool as it is underground, we were also given a key for the underground carpark for the week, The towels and tea towels, loo paper etc was changed 3 times during our week stay and at any time we could have gone to the Noichl Hotel. All in all I would have absolutely no issues with recommending these appartments, and would definitely stay in them again if I was to return to the town. Be aware however, there are no lifts in the chalet, only 2 floors, but if 4 flights of stairs is too much for you request one of the ground floor rooms. The only thing I would prefer is for the actual appartments to be available through 'gite' rental sites - it would make them easier to find and book, and could possibly bring down the price for a weekly booking.

just returned today from st johann stayed in a 2bed apartment it was spotless and well equpped.It had everything that you could want when staying in a apartment even down to dishwasher tablets.They even came in to stock up on toilet rolls and empty bins and change towels.the kids loved having wifi aswell.the only thing you need to be aware of if you book on line is that you have to collect your keys from there sister hotel and also your ski hire or the lady owner will not be very happy.the position is right at the bottom of the ski slope aswell.Over all a spot on place which we will defiantly use again
