Spark by Hilton Vienna Donaustadt is a modern, comfortable, well located hotel easily accessible by public transport (metro or tram). The building was generally clean and quiet, all staff members were very friendly, smiling and flexible, especially Eszter at the reception, who was very helpful with everything. The breakfast was amazing, and our room was spotlessly clean and quiet. We felt absolutely safe in the area. There was a huge shopping centre just a few steps away where we could buy anything we needed. Useful tip: for a quick meal, there was a little restaurant behind the hotel called 'Noodle King' which was an excellent option. We had spent 4 nights in the hotel and we left with a very positive experience and hope to return soon.

Stayed here for just one night while catching up with friends, it's right next to the Kagran station from which you can get the U1 to Praterstern station or the Hbf so very convenient for an in-and-out visit. The rooms are clean and modern, fridge, tea/coffee facilities, a small table next to the bed to work at, all in all a pretty good deal considering places like the ibis Budget a bit further down the line was charging more for less.

My usual hotels near the Vienna International Conference Centre were booked out, and this one fit my criteria of being close enough to the VICC as well as restaurants and shops. The hotel is two tram stops away and about 20 minutes on foot from the VICC. Either way, you get to see the Danube to and from the hotel. It is across from a tram station, a bus station and a shopping mall, making it convenient for getting to anywhere and buying anything. The room was spacious and clean although there was not much in terms of a view. The bathroom had a fantastic shower system, but check the angle of the shower head before taking a shower, as housekeeping staff sometimes changed the angle during their cleaning staff, leading to some surprises on my first few days. Soundproofing was not great, and sometimes I could hear the television or conversations in other rooms. I couldn't get myself to pay an extra EUR24 for the breakfast but managed on a DIY breakfast courtesy of all the supermarkets around the hotel. There is no iron in the room, only a steamer. If you want to iron your clothes, there's an ironing board and steam iron outside of the room where they store luggage. If your trip is for more than a few days, there may not be enough hangers in the room (there are no closets), although I am sure you can ask for more hangers. Housekeeping was a bit inconsistent, as some days they left me with fewer towels than other days and some days they didn't put any bin liners on the bins. The housekeeping staff I met were, however, lovely.
