We recently stayed at the Super Bude hotel in the Prater area of Vienna for 4 nights as a family of 5 with three boys, and we absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, we loved the chilled-out atmosphere and cool decor throughout the hotel. Our boys especially loved exploring all the quirky details, including the NASA astronaut hanging from the reception ceiling! The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We booked the gamer room and it worked perfectly for our family. Having all 5 beds together meant we could all sleep beside each other, which worked really well for us. The room was clean, functional and had everything we needed. My only small negative would be the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but this wasn't a huge issue as the café downstairs served lovely coffee that we could bring back upstairs. Breakfast deserves a special mention because it was honestly fantastic. We have a child with allergies and our children can sometimes be picky eaters, but there was so much choice every morning. They could choose from different cereals, porridge, fruit, cooked breakfast but their favourite were the pancakes with maple syrup (and the fact they could go back for more!) As adults, we were equally impressed. My husband is vegan and had so much choice each morning with hummus, baba ganoush, salads, lentils, sweet potato dishes, vegetables and more. I genuinely don't think I had the same breakfast twice, and the coffee was great too. The location was ideal for exploring Vienna. The U-Bahn was less than a 4-minute walk away and took around 20 minutes to reach the city centre. The Prater itself was right behind the hotel. We loved being able to take an evening stroll, grab food or enjoy some rides before settling down for the night back at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay so much that our boys are already planning our next trip to Vienna — and insisting we stay here again!

“Comfortable stay, friendly staff good breakfast”

The service quality, bathrooms and the beds are above average. The staff were friendly and helpful. The service quality, bathrooms and the beds are above average. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable although I could not figure out the purpose of the net and rack over the bed. Shower was excellent, roomy and with warm water always available. Toilet is in separate space with a door. Internet was seamless, very easy to use. There is a strong emphasis on conservation throughout. Even the cups in the bathroom were metal. I loved the hangers and the design of the hanging space. Not so fond of the small round metal table that could be folded against the wall. The space is not designed with a desk. Breakfast was good with a lot of hummus versions. There is a Billa supermarket about 5 minutes walk down the street, and the best of all the subway/underground was just steps away and for 10.5 Euro a day the whole of Vienna is before you.

3 stars is probably a bit mean and aid actually give this 3.5. it's clean, and to be fair the bed was VERY comfortable. If you want to be near the fairground at Prater it's ideal. 3 stars is probably a bit mean and aid actually give this 3.5. it's clean, and to be fair the bed was VERY comfortable. If you want to be near the fairground at Prater it's ideal. Also kids will love it. The space themed room will certainly appeal to youngsters. For me though the room feels a bit like being in a Rotastack hamster cage. It's a 20 minute U ride to the centre of Vienna. That didn't bother us too much. What did bother us was that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Nor do they provide them if you ask. This felt like a deal breaker for me and would stop me coming back. There is a bar and cafe but it closes up at 10pm. A nice touch was the balcony. We enjoyed sitting outside there. Not so great is the open plan shower in the middle of the room. So the hotel achieves it's very quirky hostel feels, but it's not inexpensive like a hostel. Was it clean and comfortable - yes and staff were very friendly. Would I stay here again, no, it's not really what I seek in a hotel. But some will love it.
