“Lovely food, location, staff, service”

Had very good food - the salads are great. Good selection menu options and drinks. Waiting staff really pleasant and helpful. I didn’t mind the size of the TV (another reviewer did). “Great Staff”

The staff is great ! Everybody is friendly and smiling, always ready to help. A perfect service everywhere in the hotel. They organize a lot of activities for old and young and you're not suppose to stay in your room, but please it is time to change the TV : too small and old.

The Pros: • Beautifully situated and in the middle of the ski area. The Pros: • Beautifully situated and in the middle of the ski area. In the morning you step on the skis – and go! • Ski area really beautiful and suitable for most skier levels until sporty ones, but mostly with blue and red slopes. Nothing for extreme skiers. Almost no waiting time at the lifts, even at peak hours. • Hotel transport lift for the luggage from the valley to the hotel in the ski area (and vice versa). • Spacious and clean rooms, most of them bright, with balcony and a beautiful view. • Food very good, sometimes excellent. I’d say rich, also the breakfast buffet. Very good: Muesli bars, fruit etc. to take away for a snack at noon. Sandwich bags are on the buffet. • The personal from "Team 3" always tries its best. Very friendly. Nice young people. • There is a lot on offer, not only in the evening program: Guided skiing on the first two days to get to know the large ski area on both sides of the Montafon Valley (St. Gallenkirch and Gaschurn the one side, Schruns/Hochjoch on the other); Video recordings while skiing, with correction and remarks by ski instructor (and hotel manager) Lars later on the video screen in the hotel; Snowshoeing, evening toboggan (sled) ride etc. The Cons: • Value for money: I would call it "just adequate". After all, it's almost 200 € (100 € / person) for a double room. Even if one calculates breakfast and dinner with 30 € per day and person, the € 140 just for the room is not really inexpensive. • Staff will normally meet the task, but not always very professional. Probably you cannot expect more from the young people who are employed there for just one winter or summer season. Anyway: Hints are (thankfully) accepted and followed. • Not all rooms are bright and have mountain view. Ask when booking. • Ski boot storage in the basement is cold with the result that in the morning you can hardly step into the boots. So we had to take them into the room (bathroom). • WLAN is 2 € / hr. Works good only at the reception. TV: only Austrian and German programs (totally about 15). • Watch out at wintertime on arrival (and departure): The old two-seater lift from St. Gallenkirch to Garfrescha needs 1/4 hrs. Wrap up warm; it can be very cold. Then it is another 10 min walk through the snowy slope to reach the hotel. Overall, the pros prevail by far. Therefore, the assessment as "very good".
