We had the great pleasure of spending a week in one of the Appartments in House Spullersee. Really well functioning house with big and spacious appartments and cleaning each day. We was very well received by the owner/landlady and service is very high. Facilities are many and all is working smoothly and perfect. Location is also really good. You can either walk 100 m to the nearest lift (uphill though) or take the bus right outside the building. We would come back any time. Prices are at the high end of "mid-range" but it is all worth it. Breakfast can be available as an option or you can have fresh bread delivered each morning to the appartment.

“Great value, comfortable Alpine style appartments”

We stayed here for a week because we booked too late to get our usual place in Lech and were pleasantly surprised with Spullersee Appartments. Very friendly and attentive staff - they even placed a little treat on my son's pillow every day! Very comfortable beds, nice kitchen, dishwasher, stove and large fridge although no microwave (not like we did a lot of cooking, though). I was particularly happy to use the Nespresso type machine which made excellent coffee. It is about 10 minutes walk (beautiful scenery!) from the heart of the village but if that is too much for you, or you have little kids to bring to the ski school, you can take advantage of the excellent village bus service (blue bus no 2) that stops right in front of the house and runs frequently all day long. Would I go back? Sure!

“A jolly good alternative”

After fifteen years the first skiing holidays in an appartment. After fifteen years the first skiing holidays in an appartment. When skiing in Lech one can hardly avoid a nice lunch on the slopes, so half board hotel regimen with dinner results in a few extra kilos. Pure lodgings are far better. You go out dining if you feel so, otherwise you get yourself some top wine, appropriate cheese and prosciutto and enjoy the company. So Spullersee was the ideal reentry. Well located a few metres above the local creek and facing south on the road to the nearby Zug, the house holds 15 appartments of various sizes. Ours had two bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a sizeable balcony. Car can be left in the garage, though it is definitely somewhat small for the capacity of the house, even considering the four outside parking lots. The village centre (and the well stocked Pfefferkorn grocery, with a good choice of wines and a sommelier to help you) can be reached in 8 minutes on foot, the ski bus leading to the key system entry points stops every 20 minutes exactly at the house door. If your skiing level is slightly above the average, you can also ski-in. Reception by the landlady was warm and efficient, the place is very well kept (cleaning every day, cosmetic kits in both bathrooms steadily replaced). Wireless works well, more or less. The only item that was less than optimal was TV. The one in the daily room was OK, there was none in one bedroom, and the one in the other could only be used if your sight matches the eagle's - due to its minuscule size. I would also hope for far better wine glasses, as the fine wines we consumed lost 80% of their expression on improper small tulip-shaped glasses. Mid-size Spiegelau glasses are a cheap acceptable solution to the problem. Otherwise, everything was great. Also every appartment had its own locked ski box in the ski room, boots warming was on constantly. Pastries are brought to your door every morning upon previous order. You can also enjoy the breakfast they make at an extra payment if you feel like doing nothing at all. We complained about knives being blunt, we got much sharper ones in no time. Highly commendable!
