We loved everything about our stay at Hotel Arlberg. The hotel is perfectly maintained and updated, the grounds are beautiful and the views breathtaking. The food is excellent and the staff exceptional. We felt like we were a part of the family that owns the hotel, as they were so warm and welcoming and always there to assist and make certain that we were having a wonderful time. There are so many fine and elegant touches throughout, including tablecloths bearing the hotel's name. Every detail has been so carefully crafted and appreciated. What an absolute treat to have been guests of this lovely resort hotel.

We loved the Hotel Arlberg. Our deluxe double room was furnished much more to our taste, with a spacious bathroom with tub, shower and double sink and separate wc, ample storage space, a comfortable seating area, and a lovely balcony overlooking the swimming pool; unlike other 5* hotels where we’ve stayed recently, the lighting controls were blessedly intuitive. The service at the Arlberg was remarkably friendly, efficient and helpful. Among others, Pascal and Lilly at Reception, Boggy in the dining room, and Boris the porter/chauffeur, were all so kind and personable that we felt like we were staying with extremely solicitous and hospitable friends rather than at a hotel. Such excellent employees are of course a testament to the caliber of their employers; Herr Schneider and his son Benjamin were omnipresent and always a pleasure to chat with. Benjamin helped us plan our hikes and Herr Schneider actually drove to pick us up in Zug after our 13 mile trek left us too tired to slog back to Lech. And in fact the Arlberg’s kindness in chauffeuring us to and from the start and finish of our hikes meant that we could optimize our adventures. We took half board and were very happy with the food. The Schneiders clearly insist on providing their guests with the highest quality ingredients. Breakfasts were excellent, with an extremely generous buffet and delicious eggs cooked to order. Our six course dinners were just as good, with standouts being the amazing salad bar (the best we’ve ever experienced at a 5* hotel - and we’ve had many) and the superb Wiener schnitzel and vitello tonnato. Pacing of the meal was perfect - in large part because Boggy would ask us how soon we would like the next course served. It was lovely to eat outside both in the morning and in the evening when the setting sun would bathe the mountains surrounding Lech. The outdoor and indoor pools are just large enough for lap swimming if one has the pool to one’s selves. Swimming outdoors below the mountains was very special and the water jet features were greatly appreciated after a long day of hiking. The large spa has all mod cons, including a feature I had never experienced before - a horizontal shower! The Arlberg has clearly grown over the years, and, as a result, navigating the hotel can be somewhat confusing; it is unfortunate, for instance, that it is not possible to proceed from the Adult Spa to the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Our only other minor critique is that the interior design and furnishings in the public rooms (as opposed to our guest room) are somewhat dark and occasionally kitschy. However, one person’s kitsch is another’s gemütlich...and I expect that the rooms feel cozy and welcoming when they are filled with happy skiers in the winter season.

I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel, the staff, the owners family, everyone is so friendly. The service is quite possibly the best in the world - so attentive, so personal, nothing is too much trouble. Myself, my team and my clients were all blown away. We cannot wait to return.

“A home away from home”

We have just returned from our annual family stay at Hotel Arlberg and as always have been impressed by just about everything. The perfect central location in Lech close to the slopes and the shops, the excellent food and service, the spa and pool facilities, and of course the friendly atmosphere.
