The only drawback from a five star point is that sofa in living room is not that great, and bed (to me) was not great. My husband did fine with bed but not sofa.

“Great space, Not so great kitchen”

A three bedroom apartment was unexpected for just the two of us, but we enjoyed having the space. Lift access in the building was a definite bonus. And to have a rocking chair on the enclosed terrace was great. Kitchen was situated at the end of the corridor, kitchen utensils and crockery were disappointingly well used and some were chipped. Only dishwasher liquid provided. Toaster and kettle appliances both a little defective, toaster bottom tray did not clip on and kettle had to be adjusted on the base to work. Good refrigerator, washing machine did not wash/spin well, fortunately, there was a lot of sun and a good drying rack for wet clothes. Air conditioner worked, but only just. Kept the apartment cooler than the outside temperature. Safe in bedroom. TV channels were all local content. Location on Girona at first seemed a little distant but we discovered we were able to walk to most iconic spots like the Sagrada Familia and Barcelona Cathedral and the Gothic Quarter. Next door was the La Concepcio farmer’s market, for fresh fruit and veges, and around the front of the market, a supermarket for non perishables. Lots of smaller supermarkets dotted around the area. Two blocks in either direction were two metro stations both on the Yellow Line, but that gave easy connection to the other lines. We purchased a T10 card for 10.90€, instead of paying 2.20€ per ride, and one T10 card could be shared by two or more persons. Bathroom a good size with a bidet, shower/shampoo gel provided. Apartment was clean except for the kitchen which could do with a more thorough clean. I rated this accommodation an average due to condition of kitchen and related. Also, prior to arrival in Spain, emails from the accommodation to confirm check-in time and stressing the penalty charges for turning up late came across as threatening, even if unintended. To get from apartment to the airport, we took the metro at Girona ( lift access) to Urquinaona (no lift) switch to red line and hopped on the metro to Placa Catalunya ( lift access). At Placa Catalunya, at the Tourist i centre, we bought two bus tickets for the Aerobus @ 5.90€ per person and got on the Aerobus leaving from the Placa Catalunya, on the side of El Corte Ingles. It was a 20 minute direct trip to Terminal 1. Buses departed every 5 minutes.
