We've returned here again, to a place we love. Located in the heart of Barcelona, ​​yet so cozy and intimate, this is our place. From the moment we enter the lobby, we're surrounded by friendly and professional staff. The doormen and the receptionists. We're tired, another hotel on the go, the heat is pouring down from the sky, and at the airport, I fall and hit my hand. It hurts so much. We don't keep track of time; it doesn't exist for us now. But it's only 12 noon, so the room isn't ready yet, and the lobby is busy during peak season. We check in and sit down in the cafe. An hour later, I answer the phone, and a woman's voice says the room is waiting. We finish our beer and return to reception. The gentleman at the front desk hands me the room keys. He's polite, smiles, and has the highest level of personal style. We enter the room, it's brilliant and chilled, just how we like it, which is exactly what I needed. My hand still hurts a bit. We have a wonderful view of La Rambla 111 from the second floor. The two balconies, and the ability to open the balcony windows, are priceless for us. Time to relax, tomorrow the beach, which we've missed so much. The room has silent and very efficient air conditioning, indispensable on these hot days. Our stay was comfortable. The maids, restaurant staff, front desk staff, and security took care of us every day, and it was evident at every turn. The hotel was organized like a Swiss watch, carefully adjusted by Mr. Juan Soler, the General Manager, whom we see every day, is with the guests. This is a pleasant surprise and puts us in a very positive mood at the beginning of each day. Thank you. After a few days, a quick check-out and we're on our way. Another hotel awaits us. What awaits us on our journey through Catalonia ? I've forgotten about my aching arm, but I know everything will be fine until my next visit. I also forgot that the restaurant offers breakfast, a vegan buffet, and my favorite carrot juice !

“Friendly and responsive customer service”

Bruno the concierge was very helpful, giving us good restaurant recommendations off the beaten path. Edgar A and Enrique B in the restaurant went over and above. Julian S at check in was outstanding in customer service. Location of the hotel was excellent for ease of getting around Barcelona.

Stayed here the second weekend in August. The people are great at this hotel. Very willing to help with nearly anything. Our luggage got lost, they offered to call the airline to help with delivery on more than one occasion. Was willing to help us find stores to shop as well. Location is pretty good. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby on La Rambla. There is a lot of construction on La Rambla also, so while it was easy to get catch a cab outside the hotel, not always easy to get dropped off as a lot of cabbies didn't want to deal with the construction. Super important- If you use the side street address (Pintor Fortuny) you have a better chance of getting dropped at the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The ac worked great. We were very close to the elevator and never heard it. Every once in a while, we felt a rumbling-I think this was the subway nearby. You couldn't hear anything though. If we wanted ice we had to request it to be delivered to the room. Hair dryer only blew cold air-not sure if this was a mal-function or we just couldn't figure it out. Flat iron was also included in the room-nice feature when your luggage is missing. View was not so great-but you are in the middle of a city-this was not a deal breaker for us. Fridge worked well also and while there was mini-bar items, there was also a shelf for us to add water or soda. Free water is provided in the room and usually at the door upon coming back from an outing. Spa was nice with a steam room, sauna and a little plunge pool. Roof top deck was cute, but not really a place to get tapas or drinks serviced easily. Hotel restaurant - we had breakfast included with the room and ate there for dinner one night. Dinner was Paella-not that great. The seafood was overcooked, flavor was ok. Breakfast was great the first day-but the same every day after that. Would have been nice to have some berries like strawberries, blueberries or blackberries to add to cereal or as a topping to pancakes or yogurt. I would say, skip the "included breakfast" and just order a la carte. Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Barcelona aside from the lost luggage and construction.
