“Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Barcelona.”

Perfect location in a beautiful part of the city. Staff were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Perfect location in a beautiful part of the city. Staff were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Big shoutout to Pau the concierge who made our trip, Melia are lucky to have you. 👏 Room was good, we upgraded to a terrace which was nice being able to sit out in the sun.! Chair offering in the room was only downside, low backed and not very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent but the rooftop bar and pool are the jewels in the crown. We’ll definitely be back.! Thanks everyone x

More style than substance. This hotel is nice and clean but for the price we made just some errors for us: 1. We were early for check in and didn’t get a message until after 3pm - check in time. On arrival our bags were just taken but no check if we needed anything out 2. No turndown service - only little but you’d saying and charging and a 5 star so this house have been standard 3. At breakfast we were told help ourselves. Only 20mins later did someone tell us there was a menu with freshly prepared food, too late we’d already worked our way through the cold fried eggs (and I mean cold) and stale (and I mean stake) bread and croissants. Days two and three breakfasts were exactly the opposite and we had a lovely breakfast but day one wasn’t great. The rooftop bar was nice and the staff was great - worthwhile and early evening visit. The pool is cold so not worthwhile a visit

Overall Assessment 4/5 A modern, well-designed hotel in a solid central Barcelona location with spacious rooms and strong bell/concierge service. While the property delivers well on room quality and aesthetics, the front desk experience and handling of guest requests felt inconsistent for a hotel in this category. Location 5/5 Conveniently located for exploring Barcelona, with easy access to major neighborhoods and attractions. While not the city’s absolute premier location, it is overall a strong and practical base for visitors. Rooms 5/5 Rooms are notably spacious by European standards, even at the standard category level. The design feels modern and contemporary, with excellent showers and a clean, upscale aesthetic. Concierge & Bell Staff Service 5/5 A standout aspect of the stay. Bell staff and concierge interactions were warm, polished, and genuinely helpful throughout the visit, contributing strongly to the luxury feel of the property. Guest Experience 2/5 This was the hotel’s weakest area. While the property does state that perks such as 12 PM early check-in and 2 PM late checkout are subject to availability, promoting them as direct booking benefits creates an expectation of greater-than-normal effort and consistency. During my stay, early check-in at noon was not available and late checkout could not be requested until day of departure. Similarly, a complimentary welcome drink was not proactively provided, and while waiting for the room, there was limited effort to improve the interim experience. Rooftop 4/5 Overlooks the city but is obstructed by nearby buildings. Great perk of this hotel, good vibes, but not exceptional view Other Notes 2/5 One small detail that felt slightly out of place for a hotel of this caliber was a prominently placed “do not smoke” warning beside the bed. While understandable operationally, it detracted somewhat from the otherwise polished room presentation. Additionally, getting to rooms requires two separate elevators which is a bit odd.
