Great location, a quiet spot with a great value Chinese restaurant over the road which we used as we had checked in quite late. Only 15 minutes walk to the more touristy areas. Our deluxe double room was spacious, a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers, comfortable bed, very clean, fridge, safe, alexia, TV. Great Dyson style hairdryer to use, but only plug close to a mirror was in the bathroom. Would have benefitted from a mirror in the bedroom or a plug near the wardrobe which had a mirrored door, as bathroom mirror was steamed up after a shower. Bathroom was well equipped and clean. Nice touches with bamboo toothbrushes if you had forgotten your own and quality body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Air-conditioning in the room was a welcome addition and fairly quiet. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was available until 10.30am and had a really good selection of hot and cold options. I would suggest the oat milk and soya milk were dispensed in jugs that were clearly labelled, rather than where they sat on the chilled counter as they could get mixed up. Omelette were excellent 😋 The room had a lot of paper paraphernalia which would have been better kept in one folder. We missed an opportunity to get a free drink if we opted not to have our room serviced one day. We only saw this notice as we were checking out. It would be useful for staff to mention this perk when we were checking in as we were staying for 7 nights we would have used it. We used the terrace pool area one day, the pool is small but adequate for cooling down, although early May it was too cold for me to use. I was expecting warmer weather, so would advise taking a few layers, a waterproof and a brolly as we did have a few cooler, wetter days. Hotel staff were happy to loan a big umbrella 🌂 which was great. We really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona, its a beautiful city and staying in a lovely hotel made the experience even more memorable. The Arc de Triomf is a good landmark for a taxi to drop you off, its a 2 min walk to the hotel. Flagging a cab was easy, and drivers were polite and professional. We only had one driver who didn't have a clue and dropped us off at the subway station instead of the monument. Such a great city to explore we enjoyed the open top bus (wrap up warm) aquarium, zoo, cable car, parc Guell, gaudi architecture, Monserrat Monestary and lots of walking. There's some fabulous shops too, I like pre-loved and the vintage and charity shops were mainly in the Gothic area and really good quality and value. A brilliant city and a fab hotel.

Hotel was very conveniently located, close to all the major attractions. Hotel stuff were pleasant. The air conditioner in the bathroom and vanity area was very poor it needs more ventilation.

The staff was excellent, the breakfast buffet was very good with great service. The property itself is very dated with furniture that is chipped and worn. The pool area was in desperate need of updating and repairs and paint.
