I have stayed at this hostel a few times and found it quite comfortable. The location is central, and the quality is decent, making it suitable for a few days' stay without any problems. The reception staff I dealt with, among the many who worked at the front desk, were friendly and helpful, which I consider important because they are the ones who help us when we have a problem. I believe it is important to recognize customers, understand what they are like, how they interact with other guests, and what they are looking for. The identifying information supplied by documents does not say anything about what each person is like, although when combined in large data sets, they can explain general aspects and reveal the principles that govern them. Any lodging business receives a large amount of feedback from customers on the quality of the service provided, not only in writing but also verbally, which gives an indication of how to organize the facility in the most cost-effective way. The data generated through these assessments can be analyzed, linked to customer identification data, and processed to reveal the most effective solutions for offering proper service and organizing them across different floors, areas, rooms, and beds. However, if there is no good relationship between the customer and the reception desk, it is easy to ruin the guests' stay. It may happen that some employees want to take personal advantage of the company-customer connection, either for their own benefit or for the benefit of people with whom they have ties for various reasons. I am concerned about this, especially when I travel to places where it is often said that personal favors are done and returned despite the rules. For example, significant effects can be achieved by inducing a customer to stay for a few nights in the same room with other specially selected customers. One could rob a guest carrying valuable luggage, but of course, more complex and subtle things can be done. When values are generated by a system and a scale is determined, there is a possibility that someone will want to take advantage of it, just as a player would at a gaming table. The possibility of such events occurring requires constant monitoring of employee activities, which is costly and difficult to implement. Such responsibilities could be implicated in any unfortunate event that occurs on the premises, resulting in the exposure of a system that was previously considered secure and invulnerable. For these reasons, I believe that openness, flexibility, and clarity in the relationship with front desk staff is important. Furthermore, many customers may judge the quality of the service to be inferior to that represented and purchased on the Internet. The most experienced may feel that they have received the worst in favor of others who are more fortunate, developing a sense of frustration that could spread and fuel controversy. Even those who are satisfied may find the environment cold and impersonal, where customers do not receive the attention and respect they deserve but are treated as objects, with unfair distinctions being made, favoring some by reserving the most exclusive areas for them, thus creating interpersonal distances. This would be exacerbated in high season, when there is less space available and competition becomes fiercer, with the result that many would not be able to find a service commensurate with the amount they pay.
