This was such an unexpected comfortable and enjoyable hotel.. staff were super friendly and helpful. Very accommodating they made sure you were comfortable and were quick to answer questions. Hotel is not staffed at night so if you return to hotel after nine you are given a number to key into entry pad which was easy to do. You are also provided a number to call in case of emergency. It all went well. Great location. Easy to get to attractions and right next door to a huge Saturday market. Breakfast was fresh and varied. Typical European fare of meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, boiled eggs, etc. would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

“Comfortable hotel with some niggles”

We booked a triple room, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom roomy and clean, and the room temperature just right. Road noise didn’t bother us and ear plugs are provided. The room was a tight squeeze for 3 adults, furniture comprised of a very slender wardrobe, a table with tea/coffee making facilities, ( replenishment was minimal and haphazard so take your own tea etc) a chair and two small bedside shelves. There were no drawers. The owner was pleasant and welcoming and provided us with wine glasses when requested. The hotel was very quiet when we were there and staff were not always present which was a little disconcerting. Telephone number was available. We were unable to have breakfast on the last day as we were leaving at 7.15 am and breakfast was at 8am. No alternative provision could be made and as we had booked our accommodation through Booking.com we could not be reimbursed. So if like us you have an early start for your return journey be aware and prepared, otherwise you will not eat until Brussels train station.

“Adequate but road noise.”

This hotel has everything you need for a city break. Good secure parking, comfortable beds. The room is a bit old fashioned but totally adequate. This hotel has everything you need for a city break. Good secure parking, comfortable beds. The room is a bit old fashioned but totally adequate. It’s only a 10 minute walk to get to the main square which is ideal. Breakfast is continental, eggs, yoghurt, toast , cereal, pastries, cheese and hams. All very nice and a lovely dining room too. The only downside of this hotel is if you are facing the road ( it’s right on top of the underpass) you will hear terrible traffic noise and that’s with the windows closed. I hardly slept because of this. Also the walls must be very thin as you can hear the room next door using their toilet. I would come again but only if we could have a room away from the road.

“A Mixed experience”

We have stayed here previously this may have been our 3rd time. On this occasion it became a mixed experience. The hotel is located in a good position to walk around and visit Bruges. A minute or so walk and you are in one of the many squares. Indeed the market is held there weekly. Supermarkets nearby. Room was large and without Air Con, but very satisfactory. Upon arrival the young lady at reception was friendly, helpful and polite. We had prior arranged for garage space 20 euros a night as we needed to leave at 8.20am to catch our crossing to the UK. We had spoken in the evening with a senior aged lady whilst in the garage to advise needing to leave the garage early the next morning and that hopefully knowone would be parked behind us to hinder the departure. The senior individual was a little indifferent regarding the attempted conversation. The following morning arriving on time for breakfast which was stated 8am on notices pinned/taped to the door we find several other people queued waiting for the doors to be opened. This after 8am. The senior lady arrived through the garage back entrance still a little indifferent and eventually we all entered and each hurrying a little to eat and depart on our different journeys. The younger staff were very attentive.
