What a great location. This place has great character, friendly staff, and some lovely touches like the honesty bar in the lounge with an inexpensive choice of great beers. Very relaxing stay, and the kids loved it. The beds were comfy, and the lounge was a nice place to relax and have a snack from the local bakery The only negative thing to point out is that some of the furniture in the room was a bit worse for wear, but I guess that's just misuse by another guest.

First of all need to mention the location and the panoramic view - they are simply amazing! The hotel is just in the city center and you can admire two beautiful cathedrals right in front of the window. The hotel looks authentic and very “Brugge” style, liked this a lot. The room (#8) was quite spacious, as well as bathroom. However, some of the furniture looked outdated and needed some refreshments. I mean, it doesn’t cost a lot to change the bedside tables - they looked really ugly and completely broken, as well as a big table next to the window. At least these small changes would make this room the way more comfortable. However, the bathroom was clean, there were shampoo, shower gel and hand soap. Also, liked a tiny window in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and soft. One more minus is a carpet - I wish they cleaned it more precisely.

This hotel is in a great location not far from all the main attractions. We had the room at the very top which gave wonderful views from the window. The rooms are slightly dated but very clean and we were more than happy for the price that we paid! The staff were great, they even let us store our cases in the sister hotel for a few hours after we had checked out.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. We stayed in a small double room on the second floor. There are no elevators in this hotel (we did not see one). If you have heavy luggages, please ask for assistance. The stairs are steep and you may injure yourself. The room was very basic with the expected towels, hand soap, shower gel, and shampoo. There was a TV and Bose DVD system. We had to rearrange some of the room furniture around to be able to open our suitcases. The hotel is located at a quiet corner. Leaving the windows open was a nice experience due to the fresh cool breeze. Sometimes it can be loud with people talking down in the street and also when the tourist horse buggy passes through. Other than that, we kept the window open. This hotel is rated 3-stars when doing a google search. However, I feel that this hotel is more of a 2-star (in my own opinion). There is barely anyone at the front desk. There is no activity going on at the bar or at the hotel lounge which is kept shut most times. If you need to contact someone from the hotel, you can call their cellphone number using the front desk phone. The hotel entrance door and room key is opened via a wireless key fob provided upon checking-in. You wave the key fob by the hotel box to enter the property. The front desk lady was friendly. We had breakfast on the day we were checking out and it costs €9.99 per person. It was decent, adequate, and expected for a European hotel. The fresh orange juice was a nice touch; however, you only get 1 small glass. Upon checking out, we asked to place our luggage away for a few hours. We were gladly assisted by the front desk lady without issues. Pros: - Location - Quiet - Competitive price Cons: - No action/activities going on - No elevators - Breakfast is extra (not included in the hotel rate) - Small rooms If you find this review helpful, please click on the HELPFUL Thumbs Up.
