A vibrant and beautifully designed hotel. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Berlin. The location is excellent—within walking distance of Alexanderplatz train station and very close to the square. It is also near shopping spots such as Alexa Mall, Galeria, Saturn, and Primark. If you prefer not to walk, you can take bus 300 from right in front of the hotel; it runs approximately every 20 minutes and takes you to the Berlin Wall. In addition, you can easily walk to major attractions such as the TV Tower, the Parliament building, Berlin Cathedral, Museum Island, Mitte, Pariser Platz, and the Victory Column. We walked almost everywhere, but if you don’t feel like walking on the way back, you can take bus 100 to Alexanderplatz. Overall, during our three-day stay in Berlin, we realized that choosing this hotel was absolutely the right decision.

We recently stayed at The Social Hub in Berlin and overall had a good experience, with a few small areas for improvement. The location is excellent — just a 4-minute walk from the underground and around 6 minutes from the train station, making it super easy to get around the city. It’s also about an 8-minute walk to Alexanderplatz and less than 4 minutes from the Alexa shopping centre, which has plenty of shops and even a food court at the top. The TV Tower is also within sight, and there are loads of places nearby to eat and drink. Travelling around Berlin was really straightforward, especially using the BVG app where you can buy a 24-hour ticket for €11.20. The hotel gym was a great bonus. It’s well-equipped with plenty of machines and weights, and we were able to get in a full workout during our stay. The rooms are on the smaller side, but perfectly manageable since we were out most of the time. However, there were a few issues. The shower isn’t very well designed, as water leaks out and leaves the bathroom floor soaked. The toilet also didn’t flush particularly well. One of the main downsides was the housekeeping. Tea and coffee aren’t replenished, even when requested — we left a note (translated into German) for two days in a row asking for more teabags and sugar, but nothing was restocked. We were able to get some from the bar, but it would be better if this was automatically replenished. Glasses also aren’t cleaned or replaced — even when left in the sink, they were simply moved rather than washed, we ended up having to wash up using had soap. There are no mugs in the room either, so you have to use glasses for hot drinks. Also a pizza box which I had left on top of the bin was left for two days in a row. It was still there on checkout. The cleaners even put the bin on top of the pizza box. Housekeeping mainly consisted of changing towels, making the bed, and emptying the bins. This wasn’t a major issue overall, but having clean glasses and basic tea/coffee facilities topped up would definitely improve the experience. Check-in was very easy with the self-service system. We didn’t try the food or drinks downstairs, but the bar had a great atmosphere when we walked past. There are also ping-pong tables in the communal area, which looked like a fun way to socialise. Overall, we had a good stay thanks to the fantastic location and facilities, but a few small improvements in room maintenance and housekeeping would make it even better.
