First trip to the grotto Bay resort and definitely not the last! All of the staff were wonderful from the front desk to the greeter at the door the delightful breakfast buffet staff, and the evening dinner service folks. The views were spectacular. The drinks were plentiful. The room was clean and tidy, and you couldn’t ask for a better location. Did Jacuzzi was well needed after a day of golf and while it was early in the season, dip in the ocean at the grotto Beach was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had with attentive service and the food. And the dinner meals or gourmet can’t say enough about group of 12 guys on a golf trip and really enjoyed every moment at the resort.

We spent a week here in April, Grotto Bay Resort & Spa is close to the airport and the bus stop is at the entrance to the hotel. You can buy bus tickets at reception or download the bus/ferry App where you can purchase different packages of travel, just activate each time you travel. All the reception staff were friendly and helpful as were the restaurant, bar and pool bar staff who were very friendly. The hotel was not too busy as were were there after the Easter Holiday's. We did not go for the all inclusive plan as we were out during the day most of the time and ate out at different places some evenings When we did eat at the hotel the food was of a good standard and well presented with a good choice on the menu's. Breakfast was a buffet but of a high standard and lots of choice. Bermuda is an expensive island but the hotel bar prices were in line with expectations, I would say the all inclusive works if you use the hotel restaurants most of the time and drink cocktails etc. Entertainment in the bar most nights which was very good. We had a sea view room in the 100 block which is close to the pool and beach but an uphill walk to the main building and restaurants. The room was very clean and we had towels changed daily, bed was large and comfortable. Make sure to visit the cathedral caves at the resort Would recommend the hotel for the location, facilities and value for money.

Really enjoyed our stay on room only basis. We were based in a top floor room (632) which was fine with a good view. The only issue that occurred was that birds were nesting in the roof space above the room which made lots of noise from the young chicks together with noise from movements of the… more

Really enjoyed our stay on room only basis. We were based in a top floor room (632) which was fine with a good view. The only issue that occurred was that birds were nesting in the roof space above the room which made lots of noise from the young chicks together with noise from movements of the adult birds, which sounded like rats running around in the roof area above the room. The birds seemed to access the roof from the balcony of the adjoining room. I would suggest when the nesting season has finished, the gaps in the roof areas should be sealed in the future to prevent future nesting. Other than that issue we had a very enjoyable stay and would definately return again if we revisit Bermuda.
