Long but worth it. First, don’t believe a lot of the negative reviews by spoiled, entitled people. Read the negative reviews for honesty. I arrived at 7:15 am & since I got such a great deal from Kayak & Super dot com, I booked the night before so that I could check in early since the previous night was paid for. The staff spoke English, Spanish & Portuguese. The bellhop spoke only Portuguese, but he had an translating app where I could read what he had to say. Took longer, but I’m in my room. I was only in a rush to freshen up & get to bed. Someone complained about the TV channels not being available in English. Can the French, Italians, Brazilians or any nationality come to a US INTERNATIONAL Hotel & find TV broadcasts in their language? Nope! It is an older property, but it is really well maintained considering. I love the security & power of your room key. To get to your floor you must put your key into the elevator. My key got magnetized & wouldn’t work. I got on the elevator with two other people. The female went first & pressed 3, I tried to piggy back & press 11. When it didn’t work, I had to insert my key which lit up red & I had to return to the front desk to get it reset, which means nobody can just come up to my floor without a key that allows them to reach that floor. The restaurant is not impressive, but it is convenient & the food decent. There are much better places to dine, but walking downstairs, getting stuffed & catching an elevator back is GREAT if you are exhausted like I was. Someone mentioned noisy. It seems that the windows are unlatched to allow fresh air to seep throw so that rooms are stale or smell different or aged. Once latched any noises are internal. A child crying as a family walked past my front door, but not traffic noise nor airplanes flying nearby. I loved the hotel & the staff was helpful, friendly & eager to please. It’s location gives you access to places within walking distance. Enjoy

We just spent a delightful week at the Bristol Hotel. We were in town to visit friends and attend their church nearby. We chose the Bristol because of its wonderful location, and we were very happy with it. The Bristol is not a new hotel, so the room and bathroom were not freshly updated nor newly decorated, but everything was very nice and sparkling clean. The rates are very reasonable, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The wifi was very fast and reliable, the bed was comfortable, the service was very good, the breakfast was delicious, and the lobby is lovely. Most of the hotel staff were very nice, but as other reviewers have noted, many do not speak English; so sometimes we had to use our translator apps to communicate, but that was OK. We were in their country, not in the US. As others have mentioned, the airport shuttle does not run 24 hours a day. We had an early morning flight, so the hotel arranged a transfer for us, but it was not complimentary. Our room was on the 14th floor, so we had a lovely view from our window, and the glass floor in the elevator was always a delight to view while going downstairs. The bell boys out front were absolutely delightful, and we enjoyed chatting with them very much, as a few of them spoke excellent English. We loved talking to Axel and his colleagues; they kept us quite entertained while waiting for our friends to pick us up! I must give a big thanks to Kennedy at the front desk. He was absolutely a miracle worker when the airlines made a mistake in our reservation. Kennedy speaks perfect English, and he has many contacts in the airline industry. Not only was he helpful in correcting the airline's mistake, he also voluntarily did the check-ins for our flights and filled in our Immigration forms for us. Thank you, Kennedy!! Thank you, Bristol. We very much enjoyed our week. We hope to see you again!

Let’s just say it is sufficient for the rate they charge. The interior is worn down. Let’s just say it is sufficient for the rate they charge. The interior is worn down. The phone on the nighttable has a shade of yellow that can only be the result of nicotine storms or 30 years of UV rays. The thing i found most astonishing is that ffor a hotel that claims ‘international’ in its name the knowledge of even the basics of English is shockingly low. Breakfast is good and plentiful and beds were ok. Not for staying during the day but if all you need is a bed and a decent breakfast, this hotel will do.
