“Relaxing and enjoyable stay.”

My wife and I stayed on this hotel on two different occasions, in this year of 2019. The first time we went with our family and only the two of us returned as a consequence of the good days we spent in this relaxing hotel. The second experience confirmed the first impression. This two floor hotel is located right by the beach. The hotel swimming pool and surrounding gardens opens up in the beach. From our room we had the beach and the ocean view from the room "veranda". The room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant and services were superb. We practically stayed the entire time within the hotel and walking in the beach. The center of Buzios is at a short distance by car and as everybody knows Buzios has other beautiful beaches and a good local commerce and restaurants. It was an enjoyable and relaxing experience and we intend to return.

Firstly big applause to the staff, thanks to whom i could give 4 out 5 (otherwise i would give max. 3). You are amazing people and made our stay much better, love you! Generally the hotel is charming, small and family atmosphere what makes it super special. Amazing food - and here 5 out 5! Amazing staff - 5 out of 5! however only 2 people spoke English - the front desk Lady (You are too good for this place :)) and Lady in the restaurant - very charming and helpful!! Sorry but i dont remember the names:( The pool and beach area are private what makes it also great (5 out of 5) especially when you come in a busy period and on all beaches in Buzios you have crowds. So now: What didnt work? We booked a superior room with window, view and balcony - this was on the photos and the email offer i got. However when we arrived we learned we have a room in the backyard with view on the Wall (1,5m away from the window - see photo i attached) , generally you felt like being in the basement - super dark and dull. There was no option for change as the hotel was fully booked. Everything would be ok if I was informed about it before - but i wasnt. As you can imagine coming first time to Brazil and Buzios this is not what you really wish for. Anyways we tried not to stay in the room as much as possible :) Also we were on a short stay so moving to another hotel seemed annoying as we had a long trip in Brazil and changing places every few days. Nevertheless we were offered a 20% discount at the end after our inquiry. Summing up: I would recommend the hotel without any question but make sure what room you will get (superior rooms are different as it turned out) :) and for sure it is worth paying more for a better one if possible as the location, privacy, family atmosphere is worth it. If i knew it i would have done it! So for the booking people i give 1 out of 5, for not informing us properly about what we pay for.

I will say that if you love kite surfing, have kids or a dog and you have a room on the beachside, this is a nice place. Unfortunately, we booked at the last moment. Online, the rooms look great but we were stuck across the street from the main hotel on an extremely busy street, crossing was dangerous. I will say that our room had a great bed, with good linen but the room had no view, poor air conditioning and very bad WiFi. The front desk staff and waiters were nice.
