Staying in this hotel was just an awesome experience... The beach in front of the hotel is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen... It's a blue sea tone, with absolutely white sand... The waves can get a little rough, some attention is required... The hotel was just awesome experience... It has a great front area where hosts can seat and relax to see the ocean in front... The rooms are very beach style hotel.. The employees treated us very pleasantly... The swimming pool in the back and the jacuzi were absolutely a plus... Awesome experience...

Where to begin? The hotel is right on the (gorgeous) beach - walk out the front door, across the small street and you're there. Our room faced the ocean and the view was stunning. The constant breeze off the water felt so wonderful that although the room had air conditioning, we only used it for a few hours one night. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious (we were in one of the suites, which was not that much more expensive than the regular rooms), shower had good water pressure and temperature. And when was the last time you saw reasonable minibar prices?? Two reals for a soda (less than $1)? Yes please! The bathroom is kind of integrated into the room, which means there is not much privacy (you exit the shower directly into the room, for example), so be aware of that (this was the only negative to the room, in my opinion). On top of the lovely facilities, the staff was friendly and warm throughout our stay. We were there with two small children, ages 2 and 5, and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful with them. None of us speak much Portuguese, and most of the staff don't speak English, but we managed to communicate just fine. There is not much around the hotel. Actually there is nothing at all around the hotel - you have to take a cab into town if you want to do much besides go to the beach. But the cab ride isn't too expensive and there is a restaurant inside the hotel that is quite delicious. The beach is so beautiful and the atmosphere at the hotel is so relaxed and pleasant that really you could have a quite comfortable vacation without ever leaving. And even in the height of summer, the beach was practically empty on some days. Oh and I almost forgot Apollo, the resident mascot of the hotel - a friendly, large and lazy yellow lab who loves kids! We were in Brazil for five weeks and our stay here was easily the highlight of the entire trip. I would absolutely return.
