“Great place to sleep in the vicinity of the beach”

Great, clean and silent place with friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful breakfasts with a plurality of fruit! Small but very clean pool gives comfort ... Only few steps to the beach and finally good, moderate prices!

Very charming though modest small inn. Looks quite good. first of all I can't understand why people would come to this town- security is an issue, the vegetation is beautiful -nature itself is beautiful here if you know how to find it- downtown is not the best way to do it and the splendid beaches and rainforest are usually off-limits in gated communities and very exclusive places. The streets are very dirty, the ocean polluted, lots of high-rises. I only stayed here because I had a job to do here and decided to extend my stay. (if I had to pick an island in the São Paulo coast I would choose Ilhabela instead) Front desk : well-meaning -pleasant service during the day. night person at the desk wouldn't quit talking on the phone (a personal call, gossiping etc.) to help me - or address me at all (a lamp in my bedroom was lacking a bulb- I was forced to "steal" one from the hallway myself- horrible energy-saving light bulbs simply stuck in sockets in the bathroom- blinding white lights awful toilet paper Old towels -plentiful though. mattress was sunken in. tiny mosquitoes on the breakfast fruits bread etc.- nothing was covered- The worst thing in my whole stay was that in a tiny charming breakfast room there is a television with the sound on and you are forced to watch -or at least hear- TV during your breakfast. by the way the coffee was awful. high point: there was a security guard on the street at night (you have to guess the man walking outside is a guard yourself, you're not told and he is in plainclothes) I don't know whether he works for the hotel or the bar across the street- And hey there's free wireless!
