It was July vacation time in Brazil and the hotel was full, but though there was a slight mistake in our reservation, it was dealt with quickly and professionally - however, it must be said they didn't answer the e-mail sent via booking.com which had already previously asked if the reservation really was correct for 2 or 3 people. Though we were nicely treated by most (some more perfunctory, but many with a smile), I'd like to point out Paulo, a nice dude who's bellman & jack of all trades. The room is correct - beds, shower, wi-fi, all worked as expected. The balcony door doesn't seal acoustically - maybe on purpose, so room isn't hermetically sealed at night - so light sleepers will hear cars/trucks from early morning. Breakfast was nice - I particularly liked the sweet rice and watermelon juice - but the coffee was one of the worst I ever had - and São Lourenço is famed from being in one of best coffee-growing regions in the world ("home saint doesn't make miracles). The panoramic elevator an attraction apart, though it's not towards the water, but the city side. My daughter & I also enjoyed playing pool - though their pool sticks are pretty worn off. But we're no pros, so we had fun! The parking lot is not convenient when normal parking garage is full - and when the garage has space, one has to be very cautious, it's not so easy to maneuver in. Fortunately, we didn't really need the car, except for one drive into the countryside, as the hotel is located centrally, near the main attractions - especially the Parque das Águas, some of the best restaurants and shopping options. One surprising inconvenience at check-out: they don't accept AmEx. I do have a Visa, but I always prefer using the former credit card when traveling.

“Very nice stay in a very nice location!!!”

We (two couples) stayed at the Central Parque from December 29, 2018 to January 2, 2019. The hotel location is magnificent: just a few steps and with a wonderful view from the Parque das Águas. Parking inside the hotel is available. The decoration is modest, but the rooms are ample, with good beds and nice working air conditioning. The breakfast is very fine, and mention should be made to Viviane, a smiling and attentive young lady that served us so well throughout our stay. By the way, the staff is the leading aspect of this hotel: every single person is very friendly and always glad to help. We really enjoyed and surely will stay at Central Parque in our next visit to São Lourenço.

Location is superb, it is almost in front of the entrance to the mineral water park, two blocks away from the pedestrian street that concentrates restaurants and night action, adjacent to the only cinema in town. Breakfast is excelent, there are dozens of options of fruit, juices, eggs, cakes, cereals, hot beverages, you name it! They have free parking in the building, but be prepared to sweat a little if you are driving an SUV. Employees are nice and courteous. They have coffee available all day long at the lobby. Rooms are spacious and clean, bathroom has plenty of hot water and nice toiletries. To sum up, given its price range, there is nothing to complain about.

The rooms are large but like all Brazilian hotels there are no jugs and tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and the plumbing is always a bit “suspect”. Ie. no toilet paper in the loo! The rooms are large but like all Brazilian hotels there are no jugs and tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and the plumbing is always a bit “suspect”. Ie. no toilet paper in the loo! The staff at this hotel does not generally speak English, which makes check out a bit slow but they are very nice and very helpful. The breakfast is truly amazing and better than most five star hotels. In addition to the huge selection of cakes, breads etc at the buffet, the staff is also very keen to cook you an individual breakfast. Location is very good, right in the centre of the town and opposite the park...but although it is a public park it is surrounded by a high fence and you have to pay to get in.
