“Lovely Lebzelter”

This hotel is simply superb. Amazing location. Comfortable , clean , amazing location. The staff are hospitable and knowledgeable. Hotel is smack bang in the centre for bus, train, shops , Billa (supermarket) , also for the lake /lido , restaurants etc. It is superb !!!!

Stayed here with my wife for a week long ski holiday mid March. Excellent value for money family run hotel. Very clean and although traditional decor it was well maintained and didn’t feel dated. Accommodated us for a late check out (at a charge) which meant I got another half day on the mountain. Stayed half board and breakfast was buffet style but good selection. Ate in the restaurant/ bar one evening and really enjoyed that. Very cosy and you could feel the history in the place which was awe inspiring. Very centrally located less than 5 mins to the lift and buses to kaprun. Some minor negatives in that the bathroom was a bit cramped and the telly didn’t work but honestly wasn’t really a bother.

Excellent first impression of the hotel, when greeted by owners, Hans and Karin. Very friendly and helpful. We arrived well before check in time but were immediately given a room. The room was very large with plenty of storage and drying space. It also had a free to use safe. We found the heating in the room easy to control and were impressed by the shower which always had hot water and a good pressure. We had read reviews that criticised outside noise. We slept well each night and only once were we disturbed by a person shouting in the street. The room was exceptionally well cleaned each day and the cleaner was extremely friendly. We had opted for half board. The dining room was very bright and spacious. Breakfast buffet was very much to our liking. You could eat as much as you wanted and there was plenty of choice. We didn’t want a hot breakfast but if you did there was only eggs. Evening meals had three choices of mains which included a vegetarian and an Austrian meal. There was a salad bar and a different special each meal for starters. Ice cream, selection of cheeses plus homemade biscuits, baked by Kerin, were available each day for dessert plus a different special. Again restaurant staff were very engaging and friendly. The location was excellent for our needs. It was just off the main square by lots of shops, restaurants and bars. We had to eat out on two nights. Both times we ate at Guissepies, an Italian restaurant. Good meals at a reasonable price with friendly, amusing staff and only a couple of minutes from the hotel. There were plenty of other nearby restaurants.The lake was a pleasant five minutes stroll and a good place for a walk. The cityexpress lift was only 5 minutes walk away and was never busy. The bus stop for the other resorts covered by the ski pass was even nearer. For 40 years we’ve visited many resorts. As this hotel and resort offers everything we want, we are seriously considering making this our permanent base.

“Great hotel in Zell”

Stayed over New Year with my family. The hotel was in a perfect location, a short walk to a gondola, and to other bars and restaurants. Although we didn't really need ot go to other bars or restaurants as the sports bar served lovely food and the cellar bar in the hotel was cozy and never too busy.… more

Stayed over New Year with my family. The hotel was in a perfect location, a short walk to a gondola, and to other bars and restaurants. Although we didn't really need ot go to other bars or restaurants as the sports bar served lovely food and the cellar bar in the hotel was cozy and never too busy. Rooms were clean and tidy, not noisy and just right for a good nights sleep after a day on the pistes and some active apres I recommend.
