On the recommendation of my brother, I visited the Gergana Hotel in Albena. This is the hotel that I would visit every year! I have no words to describe how fascinated I was by the service, the cleanliness, the food and drinks. I liked everything very much. I have been living abroad for many years and I almost did not believe that in Bulgaria I would come across a hotel with such friendly, smiling and cordial employees. Such a great gesture was made for us by them in every respect and especially for the room with a sea view....Our room was MAGNIFICENT for which I offer my most heartfelt thanks !!!!!! For all those who want to have a truly comfortable vacation - this is the hotel with these employees !!!!!! On one side of the hotel is greenery, and on the other is the beach with a sea view... It is located on the first line and the restaurant is located right next to the beach and the pool This is so convenient! You have tables outside where you can sit, eat or directly get your drink and sit back on the sunbed, it's so convenient! The bars are located near the beach and the pool and you can get drinks and ice cream at any time, and there is a snack and fruit at the pool bar. The food is very tasty and every day there was a different fish, shellfish, etc. I'm not a big fan of seafood and enjoyed the other delicious dishes, but my girlfriend was very impressed with the seafood...there was something for everyone! The food was great! When traveling by car, go through the second barrier (don't stop at the first parking lot) to be closer to the hotel (there are enough parking spaces) and call for them to come and pick you up with an LSV. They pick you up and drop you off at your car! There is various entertainment during the day and evening for children and adults. There are also tennis courts within walking distance, too bad I didn't have time to stay longer to visit them. There are other attractions and entertainment that I hope to visit next year......... Lovely location if you are looking for a more relaxing holiday. Although the hotel is a little dated and run down, the staff were almost without exception attentive and helpful. A good buffet spread each day and decent facilities means that in good weather, when the beach can be utilised, it would be an ideal chill out holiday and very good value. The major drawbacks were out of control of the hotel itself. Poor weather meant there was little to do, and there was no indication before the stay that the hotel, and the resort as a whole, was closing for the season. Very little of the resort was open and it was like a ghost town. I would return, but only during the months of July-August when the weather is guaranteed and the resort is fully open. Being the end of the season did mean lots of the activities and entertainment at the hotel had ended, but what there was was good. In all, a lovely location, literally on the beach with the nature reserve behind, good for a quieter holiday, with helpful staff and decent all inclusive options. But only book during high season, as it felt very isolated outside of that.
