“Great Hotel”

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Very comfortable, quiet room with all the usual amenities. Less than 5 mins to the beach and Varna Nautical Museum. The restaurant was very quiet (we were the only folk in there), but the food was excellent.

Just had the best time here, I went solo, beautiful small hotel, the rooms were absolutely immaculate and cleaned every day, the staff were so friendly and the owner and his wife were so friendly, the food was lovely. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel, lovely quiet area exactly what I needed the beaches are beautiful.

“Good hotel in great location”

This is a really good 3 star family run hotel . Great location, quiet but everything you need nearby. This is a really good 3 star family run hotel . Great location, quiet but everything you need nearby. We had a refurbished room, with a comfortable double bed, a single bed, small fridge and a good sized balcony with sea view . No kettle or safe in the room, but this wasn't a big deal to us. The room was spotlessly clean, and the friendly cleaner visited daily.A lovely clean pool and plenty of sunbeds. The breakfast was a good selection of eggs, sausage, cold meats, salad, fruit, yogurts, cereal pancakes and toast, always presented well and plenty. Evening meal was self serve, various hot and cold starter, then a choice of main. The meats were well cooked and tasty, the veg was always a bit lukewarm, and often served before you had finished your starter, and a bit repetitive, but it was ok. There was a fairly well stocked bar for drinks, reasonably priced, available at night and during the day. The family and staff that run it are very friendly, courteous and work so hard to please you. This was a nice stay and I would recommend.

St Vlas is situated near to Sunny Beach but it does not have the same number of people visiting it and consequently it is much quieter. St Vlas is situated near to Sunny Beach but it does not have the same number of people visiting it and consequently it is much quieter. Having said that it does not enjoy the same level of amenities as Sunny Beach, for example, we could not find a tour operator in town to book onto an excursion. Additionally, none of the tours provided by our tour operator (Jet 2 Holidays) picked up from our hotel which meant that if you did go with them you would have to get transport into Sunny Beach. By the way, to make things even more difficult no Jet 2 Holidays rep visited the hotel during our stay and we were not informed of that prior to booking. The hotel is quiet, only one night of entertainment in the week we stayed, but that might suit a lot of folks. The hotel is also clean and tidy with friendly helpful staff. We stayed on a half board basis and the food was wholesome although the combinations were sometimes, what I would term strange. There is always salad on the menu and it seems that the local custom is to have a large bowl/plate of salad as well as the main course. The only bug bear I found with the meals was having to choose your main course from two and that main course being served, sometimes immediately, before we had a chance to eat our starter or even whilst we were still choosing our starter - this meant that the main course was out on the table getting cold. The pool was always available and never crowded. There are no lifts in the hotel and so if you have mobility problems and have a room o the upper floor then you may struggle especially when you arrive and leave to go home with your luggage. It is also worth mentioning that there are steps up to the main entrance as the transfer taxi dropped us at the bottom of the drive.
