“Excellent hotel to stay in Sofia”

Everything was outstanding, starting with the room (actually an apartment) and continuing with the breakfast, cleanliness, etc. The bed and the linens were excellent also A big plus – the fact that the car was safe in their private underground parking.

What an exceptional place! It may sound exaggerated but trust me it isn’t, you don’t normally get this level of service and comfort at this price point! I’ve stayed at the Design Junior Suite, the room was very clean and pleasant, it was very contemporary styled yet again somewhat cozy, which is in my opinion difficult to achieve and that bed, oh dear it was like sleeping on a cloud! The Italian Restaurant downstairs was really good and offered very unusual meals, done to perfection by the head chef Gabrielle Federici and his team! Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. Really impressed, keep up the good job guys!

“Quiet location south of centre, breakfast needs redesigning”

We stayed in a 1 bed apartment which was spacious with a seating area and kitchenette. We were in room 309, which had a faulty light in the bathroom so reported to hotel to repair. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment which was spacious with a seating area and kitchenette. We were in room 309, which had a faulty light in the bathroom so reported to hotel to repair. We also stayed in a standard double which was just the bedroom and bathroom. Also acceptable size for the price. Rooms were clean, Wi-Fi worked. Parking available in the basement was useful. Hotel is located south of the centre of Sofia which was fine for us, we preferred to stay in this quiet location and not to drive our car in to the centre. It’s a short walk to the metro and bus stations so we used public transport. However the breakfast set up needs to be improved. Currently they have 5 set breakfast menus, each with different items, good quality. We didn’t like this format as we didn't want all the items in any one menu. They did allow us to swap things out (we were the only guests here) but not sure if they would accommodate if the hotel was busier. Or if they are flexible with letting customers customise then why offer the set menus (?). Instead they should change the format of the breakfast and either (1)charge by each food item to allow customers to build their own breakfast. Or (2)for example charge one price for 3 items, then next price up for say 6 items etc. If visiting Sofia again we would look at other options before considering this hotel unless they change their breakfast design.

This modern place has a lot to recommend it: friendly staff, secure parking, good a/c etc. It also has room lighting supplied only by overhead bright-white strip lighting, a room safe that can only be operated by lying on the floor, hot water temperature that go fom boiling to cold in seconds, etc etc. The smart bathrooms further lack anywhere realistic to hang wet towels. Nice try Adella, but your owners should try living there for a week and sort it out.
