The apartments are very well appointed and modern and the staff were all friendly here. We had late arrival and early departure by train so the location of the apartments was perfect for us. It's also close to Raffles for a happy hour drink between 4-9pm. We had a two bedroom apartment that had ensuite bathrooms off each room and a central living area with couch, kitchen and breakfast bar style dining. It was nice to grab some breakfast supplies at the local minimart and have a leisurely breakfast on the couch after so many buffets during our travels. Everything was very clean and the housekeeping replaced water, coffee and intermittently towels each day. There are two sizeable pools and although overlooked there was never anyone around so they were very nice for an afternoon relax out of the heat. We also ate at The Shop which was a bit pricey but I enjoyed my quiche for a light lunch. Besides expensive nearby hotels or market square there aren't any local restaurants etc in close proximity, although if you walk via Wat Phnom to the riverfront I recommend Hummus house. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if arriving or departing by train

Central Mansions is a nice, upmarket, comfortable and very convenient place for a mid- to long-term stay in Phnom Penh. The staff is particularly friendly and helpful. I appreciated the fully-equipped gym and the (independently-managed) cafetaria "The Shop" on ground floor. Cleaning and technical staff are nice, efficient and helpful; they are also very much "quick reaction" orientated. An apartment can be very different from another one, hence I recommend a physical inspection before any mid or long term rental. The two neighbouring schools can make some units noisy and this should be a criterion for selection. Same for the natural lighting, insufficient in some units (conception of the buildings). Some apartments definitely need technical refreshments... The two swimming pools are a great asset, even if their location deprive swimmers from privacy. But they are super clean and well maintained. Laundry service is fast and perfect. Room cleaning is very professional and courteous, but the cleaning staff should be systematically equipped with hoovers (currently they vacuum clean only on demand, with heavy equipement). In fact, every apartment should possess its own hoover or at least a minimum set of equipment to clean, for instance, the kitchen floor between the visits of the cleaning staff. The only serious insufficiency I would like to pinpoint is the kitchen equipment, very poor by Western standards. While there is... a (bit dangerous) electric rice cooker, there is nothing, for example, to mix a soup. Oven dishes, dish drainers or dish towels seem to be unknown, etc. This situation is quite uncomfortable and obliges tenants to buy lots of kitchen stuff -that they have to abandon on departure-. And Central Mansions is not at all cheap if compared to other serviced apartment offers in Phnom Penh... In summary, despite some weaknesses, various of them easily avoidable, I enjoyed my 4 month stay in Central Mansions and plan to stay probably there again next year.

“Home away from home”

Friendly, clean , perfect location. Good cost ratio for this nice capital of Cambodia. The little in-house bistro is a meeting point for expats and locals and a nice place to chat and work during breakfast , lunch or dinner. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Stay was ok. There is a school to one side which is very noisy and a University behind which equally can be noisy. The Shop Cafe has the same menu and never changes. Stay was ok. There is a school to one side which is very noisy and a University behind which equally can be noisy. The Shop Cafe has the same menu and never changes. The pools are a bit of a public display in that peoples rooms overlook them, so its isnt as private. Construction was haopening for s good two months. Location is ok, but if you want to be amongst the hustle and bustle suggest living BKK1 area. Otherwise you have to catch a tuktuk everywhere. Nice and close to exchange square and a supermarket. The fire alarms were going off at leaat once a week...and usually between the hours of midnight and 6am!!!
