That hotel has some pretty good rooms, but also some not so good (smelly, smoke). But the staff makes up for that, their english is surprisingly good. They are very friendly and very helpful (much more than I would have hoped for!) . So after a first not so good impression of my first room (where I actually considered to cancel and switch hotels), the staff went out their way to make it right, and they did successfully! So this is a good review for a Hotel with some problems, run by humble and nice people, who effectively(!) try to do their best within their means. I can understand some of the bad reviews here, but after my experience with the staff, many of these customers likely behaved very impatient and impolite and likely didnt even give them a chance to fix whatever issues were there. (its a harsh world, we all try to survive, no reason to put others down beside them being cooperative) . Tips: If the aircon is seemingly not really working, for me it took 1-2 hours until it finally blew real cold air (I booked spontanious, so they had no time to prepare much). -------------------------------------------------------- Rooms 4.0 Service 5.0 Location 4.0 Hotel highlights: Quiet -------------------------------------------------------- Rooms: the rooms , especially the bathrooms are actually very nice and cozy / warm feeling due to mediterrane colors of tiles etc. The shower has good water pressure and the rooms without bath tube have even the rainfall thing. Just be careful as some rooms smell after cigars smoke (you can switch easy) and maybe better go for the rooms which have windows, otherwise likely will be smelly. --------------------------------------------------- Safety: seems like a save area, nice quiet side street. ---------------------------------------------------- Noteworthy details: The truly(!) friendly staff with surprising good english. Their willingness and effectiveness to make it right. PS: If you get a smelly (smoke) room, just dont accept it, ask them to switch until its right, they are very cooperative and their english was really good.
