The hotel is on 184 street, great location about 5 minutes walk down the same road to the royal palace and riverside. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, if your visiting Cambodia for the first time reception has a price list for tuk tuks and taxis, so you have an idea. Room large and clean, shower after 5 minutes turns to Luke warm water, but with the heat you don’t mind that so much. Air con in room is great. Would definitely stay here again. The breakfast is a bit of a hit and miss compared to other hotel, but still okay.

Pretty sure it was a calibration between the tuk tuk driver and the motorcyclist robber RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO SHOW THE DRIVER MAP DIRECTIONS ON YOUR PHONE. ITS PROBABLY A RUSE AS BEST YOU CAN, KEEP YOUR PHONE IN YOUR POCKET

Great location - easy reach of everything. Tuk tuks outside hotel or reception staff happy to arrange and book trips etc. Staff were generally friendly. There are a number of things that have made me give this only 3 stars, but first let me say these are my personal feelings only. The pool, reception and dining room/bar are all in one space which feels a little odd, but must say the pool was clean and was very welcome after a day sightseeing in the humidity and you do get used to the odd location of it. There is no lift - not a concern to us, but might be for some. Our room was large, but our travelling companions' room was quite small - we both had large balconies, but as mentioned by other travellers the balconies are all joined up. The bed was fine. This felt like the least secure hotel we stayed in - the room locked with a key and by push button from the inside, but the lock on the french doors to the shared balcony was really flimsy and a swift kick from even me (small 60 year old female) would have gained me access. The doors were also really warped and poorly fitting so mozzies gained easy access. None of the wardrobe doors would close. Biggest bugbear was the bathroom - dated which we didn't mind as everything worked, but cleanliness really was a major issue and our friends' bathroom was the same. The level of mould growth was horrendous - I appreciate it's difficult to control mould in bathrooms, but it seemed as though no effort had been made with this at all. However, overall, for the price we paid we didn't expect the Ritz, but simple maintenance seems to be an issue. It is a good price, just be aware of the issues - they might not bother you!

Ok to start the good points. Good location 15 minute walk from riverside, 10 from central market, staff extremely friendly, receptionist helpful, chambermaid happy, food in restaurant good with large portions. 24 hour supermarket a couple of doors away. Now the lesser, room filthy, stains on curtains, dust on curtain, lampshades filthy, shower slow, Luke warm and tiles full of mold. Owner is miserable, doesn’t acknowledge you, walks in and out of kitchen with a cigarette in his mouth, gates looked after 11 in the evening and sometimes takes 5 minutes to get someone’s attention. Cups in room filthy, I wouldn’t drink from them. Shame as it good be a good hotel, just needs lots of money spent on rooms. Also extremely noisy from 5am with traffic and cockerel nearby.
