Excellent location to explore Jasper and the surrounding area. We had the pleasure of being checked in by Jainam and Sukhdeep, who were super friendly and helpful. They gave us advice on the local area and attractions, and also booked a table at ‘Evil Dave’s Grill’, which is next door to the hotel. We can recommend this as a place to eat too!

Our stay at the Marmot was really good. Some things to note: the rooms on the upper floors are not disability accessible. This is a two-floor motel style hotel with entrances from the outside of the building. There is a warning that the stairs get slippery if wet or icy. There is a coffee maker in the room and a fridge. Our fridge froze everything we put in it so check the setting when you use it. There is a pool and a hot tub which we didn’t use because we have to trek across the parking lot and it is pretty cold out now. There is a Starbucks right beside the hotel and a great restaurant called Evil Dave’s which was the highlight of the trip. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The decor is a little dated but for the price of the stay one can forgive this. There is a little gift shop in the lobby and the walk to the tourist strip is about four easy blocks away. Overall it was a good stay and we would absolutely return.

I am aware that following last year's fires, accommodation options may be limited in this town, but on a premium tour, I expected better. This is essentially a roadside motel and looks like it has not been updated since the 1970s. Rooms were small and there was a distinct stale smell upon opening the door. This was reduced by leaving the room door open. There was no elevator so it was a struggle for the ladies in our group to get suitcases up to the rooms. There was no dining and we needed to go to the hotel next door for our included breakfast. Our room was not serviced as we were not told of the need to put out a card for this to be done even though we were out all day. I would probably rate this as a2 star property except for the staff who did try to assist us.

Was like going to a80s style motel. On opening the room door, there was a distinctive smell of staleness.. Room small with dated furniture. Bed was comfy and a cold fridge. The carpet either needs a good clean or better replaced. This is what I feel the odour was from. Pool and pool area was very inviting. The people behind the desk were extremely pleasant and helpful. Wi.fi good and scart lead charging box. Would have liked a complimentary form of breakfast even though theres a Starbucks next door.
