I recently stayed at Embarc Vancouver and had a wonderful experience overall. The highlight of the room was definitely the floor-to-ceiling windows offering an incredible view of downtown Vancouver — truly a great way to start and end the day. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with a stocked kitchenette, including a fridge, microwave, plates, and flatware, which made it easy to feel at home. I also appreciated the cleanliness not just of the room, but of the entire property, including the fitness center, which was well-maintained and easy to access. The only hiccup during my stay was figuring out where the main entrance was. I arrived after hours on a rainy evening, and my rideshare dropped me at the side entrance — the same one listed on the address above the door. Unfortunately, that entrance wasn't clearly marked, and it wasn’t obvious that the main lobby was actually around the corner past a nail salon and up a floor. Luckily, a friendly guest happened to let me in, and I was able to get settled from there. Aside from that bit of confusion, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend Embarc Vancouver to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay in the heart of the city.

We were permitted early entry to our room. The view was fantastic. We turned the chairs around to face the view rather than the room. The kitchenette was very well equipped. The bed was perhaps a bit too firm for our liking (and I tend to like a firm bed). Coffee was available in the lounge on the 29th floor but only during office hours of 9-430. Clearly they've had thefts of the keurig pods while it wasn't staffed. The location is perfect. Easy access within a few minutes walk to restaurants, the seawall and anything that one would desire downtown. Parking offered in/out privileges and was discounted for embarc guests ($75 for two nights including tax. This sounds like a lot but is definitely a good price in dt vancouver)

“Home Coming”

It has been a few years since I visited Vancouver. Staying at Embarc not only made my visit easier but it felt like a warm welcome home. It was a good and hassle free experience and I will definitely book with Embarc again.

“Average - at best!”

Arrived from the airport via Uber at around 9pm after a 10 hour flight. Uber dropped us at the hotels registered/advertised address - 1001 Hornby Street. Arrived from the airport via Uber at around 9pm after a 10 hour flight. Uber dropped us at the hotels registered/advertised address - 1001 Hornby Street. It was cold, raining and we had several cases and bags. The doors were locked and we couldn’t access the hotel. There was a ‘push here for assistance’ button, but no one responded. Another couple arrived - they couldn’t access the building either. After about 15 minutes a third couple arrived with hotel room keys they were able to use for us all to gain access to the building. Escalator was turned off/ not working. We took the elevator to reception - receptionist told us that this happens all the time and blamed the Uber driver. I pointed out the driver had dropped us at the address we gave him (from the hotel’s website) and next to the hotel sign that says ‘Embarc’. I don’t see how this is the Uber driver’s fault and if it happens often perhaps the hotel should provide a fix. We checked in, went to the room, tried to order room service but the QR code on the info sheet doesn’t work. Today we tried to use the pool/spa. One spa is not working. The other had eight people in it. We waited, came back an hour later and there was now nine different people in the only working spa so we gave up. All in all a pretty poor experience. We’re here for another couple of days so it’ll be interesting to see if someone from hotel management contacts us to discuss this very average at best experience.
