MODA hotel is a true gem in Vancouver. It’s a little bit of Europe with excellent service, offerings and location. It’s kitty corner from the Orpheum theater.👏👏 Camilla gave us five star service at dinner!

This is a basic 3 star hotel that has Clean and Comfortable Rooms, in an ideal location downtown, has amazing, helpful, & friendly staff, and is all offered at a very decent price compared to other hotels in the vicinity. I highly recommend this hotel for shorter stays. This hotel is perfect for short stays where main purpose is to be located within downtown. Yes the building is old and it is felt as soon as you walk in, the corridor and rooms have a distinctive smell which is not pleasant in the beginning, however you get used to it. Here is a detailed review of all facilities. Location: It’s very conveniently located in the downtown with all sites and parks at a walking distance. Public transit including bus and train are both available at max a 6 minute walk, while plenty of restaurants, cafes, & convenience stores on the same block. Rooms: The corridor and Rooms have a strange smell as of being old. This makes you uncomfortable in the beginning however everything is very clean including the room, carpet, bed sheets, and all other linen. The bed and pillows are really comfortable and provide a peaceful sleep. The rooms are very small though but do have a large closet space in which luggage can be stored to make room. The closet also has a refrigerator, coffee machine, safe, and a full size mirror. The rooms either face the main Seymour street or another building. The street facing rooms have a nice view but being on the road means they are a bit more noisy. There is a desk and chair in the room while enough power outlets to charge devices next to the bedside. Bathroom: The bathrooms are small, cramped, and have an old outlay, yet everything worked perfectly fine. There was no water clogging or water temperature issues. The shower pressure on the top most 4th floor was decent. The towels were very clean and soft while plenty of them were provided. The bathroom amenities were very nice as well. Common Areas: The lobby is small and has a few sofas to sit on. The elevator is also a bit small and can fit in up to 6 people. There is a restaurant and a bar on the ground floor as well. The public restrooms at the ground level are also very clean. The rooms are also easily accessible by stairs. Staff: The entire staff are the best. They welcome you with a smile, they do their tasks very quickly. They stored our luggage both before check in and after check out. The house keeping staff were very kind and helpful as well. Every interaction with the staff was extremely pleasant and they made sure our needs were addressed promptly. They turned in the heating at our request and later even called to ask if we needed a room heater. Brilliant people. In the end I would highly recommend this hotel if you need a place in downtown Vancouver for stays.

“Great place to stay”

Great place to stay. Location is amazing. Allowed me late check out. Rooms were clean. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Changed towels everyday. Bed was comfortable. Not being picky but maybe a new TV is in order in the rooms:)

The check-in staff were kind and attentive, and the hotel has a cozy, European-inspired charm that makes it feel special rather than generic. The connection to Uva Café and Cibo Restaurant adds to the experience—there’s a great sense of place here, almost like stepping into a small boutique hotel you’d find in Europe. It’s walkable, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for guests who value atmosphere as much as convenience. If you enjoy boutique hotels with character and a relaxed, stylish vibe, Moda is absolutely worth a stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
